| Attn: SFNers in Albany, NY --- Gange said today that the Howard TV preview peep show Ice Cream truck will be in Albany this Sunday April 29th with wack packers and Ronnie. Where do you think it will be? Does anyone want to go? |

I just came back from the Albany appearance, and to be honest I was a little disappointed. I thought for sure there'd be some wack-packers, but no. Not even Jeff the Drunk, who lives in the area! I also am dying to get a Howard fist sticker or something to put on my car, but all they were handing out were free packs of "masturbatory tissues" - which is actually pretty funny. The show clips were kinda funny, but nothing I haven't already seen online. And, the "show memorbilia" really could have been more than 2 glass cases filled with sybian attachments! But, also very funny.
Basically, I went up there expecting a party, and instead it was like "wow, a truck with 'Howard' written on it." |

| I drove by Jillian's at like 5:30 or 6 - and there was no truck. I drove all over where a truck may have been and didn't see anything of what I would have expected. I thought what you did that I would find at least some local SFNers drinking and having a party and at least they could have picked up Jeff. It would have worked better to have the van at Crossgates or someplace where people go on Sundays. There were people down there for the circus but I don't think they were looking for a Howard TV preview. I guess us Albany SFNers are just too hung over on Sundays to get a party together :D |

This peep show thing seems to of been a HUGE failure. To get people to show up, Howard, or at least Artie has to be there.
A better way to do this would be to do a LIVE show in the cities that helped the show for so many years...like Philly and of course NY. Get subs that way.
Showing up at random places isn't going to boost subs. This must've been all Doug's idea. Just like HTV, this whole thing, which could of been big, flopped big time. |

I wasn't expecting Howard or Artie to be there, I would've settled for Jeff the Drunk and/or High Pitch Eric. I understand how the main players on the show are too big to show up for something like this. I was just hoping for a pic opportunity with Beetlejuice at the most!
As far as HTV being a flop, they should follow Bubba's example and have it available online (like Bubba Raw)... I'm not dropping satelite tv for cable just because Howard's on cable. |
