What you don't know about me is that I was an acquaintance of one of the biggest heals of the '90s -- John Tenta (aka EARTHQUAKE -- "Quake" to his friends). He drove for the same company as I do for a couple years and then went back home when he found out he was terminally ill. The guy was a truly humble man and a class act all the way. Just knowing him as the man he truly was was an honor and a pleasure. He was a great PERFORMER and even had a wrestling school for a time. But even having known him for only a short while still never made me think he was a great wrestler.
The same thing goes for Mr. Higginbottom. I know it takes athletic ability to do the stuff those guys do night after night. I sure as hell can't do what they do. I'm not taking anything away from him, but like I said earlier, I can name at least ten legit wrestlers that would out-wrestle him (maybe not out-perform, as in mic skills, but would do a number on him in a shoot match). |

That proves my point -- PERFORMER, not WRESTLER ...
He puts butts in the seats, and he does draw crowd reaction -- good or bad. No denying that. He's had a career that most guys in the business would kill to have. He knows how to work, and he legitimately got a second chance that few others would've ever been given considering how bad his back got a few years ago. He worked his ass off to be able to get back to performing at the level he's been accustomed to over the years.
But best wrestler? Heck, Chris Benoit or Steven Regal would pretzelize him in a shoot wrestling match (but who wants to see that in today's WWE, besides me?). Neither of them has the charisma or the mic skills, and that keeps them from being performers like Michaels. Angle could've passed him up, but his admitted painkiller addiction is what's ultimately gonna prevent him from achieving that upper echelon that so few occupy. They're eventually gonna have to put the strap on Michaels for at least one more run -- I'll agree with that, if for no other reason than to continue to build Cena up (i.e. "pass the torch"). |

I am a Shawn Michaels fan as well, but he has not been the same since the Hell in the Cell however many years ago. Even the original version of DX was more entertaining.
Point blank, as I stated before, Shawn wouldn't have had the current run he's enjoyed as of late if it weren't for Hunter. It's not just his ability to perform, but there's politics involved too bro. I hate to bust your bubble, but being best friends with HHH goes along way. The apparent burial of guys such as Randy Orton and Shelton Benjamin,(I can't help but to wonder who he pissed off backstage, as HHH out him over twice ) guys who are in their prime, is a complete waste of talent. |

The rest of "the clique" would still be there if they were willing to take a backseat to him as well, but their egos are too big to play second fiddle to a roided out freak show.
