According to some on-the-scenes reports from a couple SFN'rs, Bubba was definitely a few Millers deep when his match rolled around near the end of the card. There's a couple threads somewhere here on the Darkside that will at least give you some of the fans' perspective ...

I thought I would have to tear open my dashboard on my Dakota also...
Turns out - there was an antenna "Splice" right behind the panel between the carpet and the dash. Had to remove 2 screws and pop out that piece, insert FM whatchamadoohickie and put it back together.... took all of 10 minutes - we*ks great! |

I got no idea! I was just cleaning out my Jeep this morning and removed my Stilleto car kit. The adhesive on the base pulled off over night and it is done. It has only been up for a month. I was really not impressed with the car kit though. The reception was pure shit. I drove for 4 hours, not a single second of reception the entire ride. I am very disappointed in that aspect of the product. I LOVE my Stiletto, but it is useless in my car. |

You shouldn't have to do anything to the dashboard, to be quite honest. I don't know how accessible the tools are, but I have a set of "tongs" that fit right in the front part of the stereo that pulls it right from the dash -- no bubbles, no troubles. The FM modulator took a whopping five minutes for me to install in the truck (the big one, not my personal vehicle), and unless something tears up with my receiver, I should not have to buy another Sirius accessory to clean up the sound and eliminate all the bleedover and the static. The modulator is $29.99, plus tax. If your local Radio Shack doesn't have it in stock, they will order it and can have it shipped directly to your house free of charge and within a week. |

Antenna Issues...

The car antennas are pieces of shit I had to return 3-4 of them (I've lost count :mad: ) If you have your car kit under warranty, they may exchange it for a working antenna. I've done that at Best Buy a few times. |

I bought an in-line FM transmitter about a month ago when I was in Pennsylvania. I haven't changed the FM station since. Cost me $29.99, plus tax, and about five minutes of my time to install it. So now between having one of the older receivers (still had the stronger FM transmitters before FCC's changed mandate), the truck antenna, and now the FM transmitter, I am set for the life of the unit! :btu: |

I have a Wrangler, my antenna mounting options are limited. My sportsters works just fine where I have it, I place the Stiletto antena there.. nada. It worked for a day, now nothing. |

That stream Jockey II has a great FM transmitter, i use it in in the Living Room and I can receive the signal all over the House and has pretty good strength outside as well :bigup: |

So now between having one of the older receivers (still had the stronger FM transmitters before FCC's changed mandate), the truck antenna, and now the FM transmitter, I am set for the life of the unit! :btu: |
I bought the hmmmmm extra cable that runs directly from my sirius to my factory radio and have been from Erie, Pa all the way to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and haven't changed the station once. No static, not bleed through Nada!! So worth the time to install it! |

Look on the front of your wife's radio. There should be four prongs (two on each side) that should allow you to pull the radio out of the dash without having to tear the dashboard apart. |

It's a Sportster 4. I use the vent mount, it gets the unit closer to the radio. With my Vette, I just leave the antenna all the way down, no issues, and with my truck, I removed the fender mounted antenna and set the radio to "Local". No issues. It's just that damn Expedition and it's hidden anntenna. :mad: |
