but i'm just curious about the policies here. Granted what he said was RETARDED, but what about freedom of expression? Why do people get banned for saying things vs just having their posts deleted?
Isn't freedom of speech what makes Bubba's show so great?

Harassing SFN Staff or VIPs will not be tolerated. One of the great things about SFN is the fact that several of the show regulars / wack packers are members and you'll get a chance to talk to them. Unfortunately, some members abuse this privilege, and use the forum as a chance to attack the show regulars. We can't allow this.
Thats at the top of the page before you post. No excuse as to why nobodies seen it.

Not banned but "account on-hold." Things here are usually not deleted, just moved to the "who gives a shit forum." Take another look at the posting guidelines.
2. Do not harass the VIPs. They have custom titles under their usernames identifying them.
Using the excuse that you don't consider that person a VIP doesn't hold any merit. If you know their name because of the show, they're a VIP. You can discuss them and play with them but don't fuck with them. You do not have to like them or agree with them but you can't be mean. If you make them uncomfortable, you'll be the one who's booted. IF they attack you, you are allowed to defend yourself but that doesn't mean you can be a total asshole. Use some sort of restraint even if they are out of control.
This includes but is not limited to the following
* Stern Show Staff & their significant others
* Stern Show Regulars / Comedians
* Stern Show Regular Callers - the guys on the show know by name
* Stern Show Wackpackers
* Stern Show Interns
* Sirius Staff
* Howard 100 News Team
* Howard TV Staff
* Bubba Show Staff
* Ferrall Show Staff
Even if someone isn't signed up here, they are still considered VIP. You can say anything you want short of calling Bubba a "fat fuck" or doing what that guy did. Being as how this is a smaller forum and we are constantly overrun who people who come here to talk shit about Bubba, the rules are admittedly enforced much more strictly here. This thread is a classic example of what not to do. And some friendly advice, don't bring up "free speech" as that tends to piss off Mutt and the mods. That is the typical thing trolls and people from other sites say when they talk shit about the site. It is Mutt's site, so it's his rules. In my experience, other sites are much more unfair. Another fan site has reportedly closed accounts of posters from here for no reason. As for free speech, one other fan site doesn't even let you post profanity in open forums.
