I don't think its Howards fault, I think its your cable company. I was hating HTV for awhile too because I wasn't getting updates very often, but lately they've been pretty good. Seems like I get updats on Mondays, Wednesdays, and the weekend. I wish it was daily, but what I'm getting now seems pretty good.

can't really blame Howard. more of the blame should be put on Doug and the on demand technology in general. the same shit happens to me for HBO on demand and WWE 24/7. it seems like it's the local cable offices fucking up and not sending updated signals to download the new content. for me, the service goes up and down. sometimes I'll get updates every night at 2-3 AM, and sometimes, I'll go for a week without getting any updates. I'll have to post in the HTV form on here and then they usually fix it within 24 hours.
don't worry though....even if HTV is running perfectly with all of the updates...the content is still lacking and it's still not worth it. i cancel and resubscribe every couple months. seems to be the only way to get your moneys worth. when there's a 1 or 2 week vacation, there's no point in having HTV because they don't update it because there's no new shows TO update it with. |

It is standard in the ON Demand business for uploads to be sent to the indivdual service providers. My system loads the updates pretty quickly and I get fresh programming just about everyday.

I don't doubt what you say, but I must add that Comcast is my provider and the daily shows are not updated consistantly.
I do need to add that i work for Comcast, so I have no ill feelings toward the cable co. |

Actually Comcast is good at updating the daily show. Since it's 12:02am I'm going to check it now.
BTW those that download the shows, you don't get to see all the shows (no daily) so really you should subscribe. The Daily shows are the best one's usually. |

| I agree . Not woth it. Not rotated enough. New episodes take to long to show up. It is a shitty service. Especially at 14.95 try 8.95 or 7.95. Overpriced for what you get. If I didn't have the radio show then It would be worth it. Other wise it's less then when you compare the 2. |

i actually dont really give a shit about the daily shows all that much because all they show is one interview or one tiny snippet of what happened over the course of 5 hours :(
one of the reasons i got HTV was because i wanted to see lots of CLASSIC Stern episodes. since i'm a relatively new fan i have missed a lot of good stuff from the last 20 years. they dont show enough classic episodes though :(
they have so many old episodes on backup they could afford to put up at least 3 hours of old footage EVERY DAY and still have a surplus by the time howard is done at sirius :o sadly they only show 1 or 2 old episodes a week MAX |

The sad news is, the technology as it currently stands can not handle that much content. Many systems can't handle what they're putting out now... and not just "little guys" but big players like Comcast and Time Warner. See the "tell iNdemand" stickied thread to see what I mean. |
