Seems right on to me. Fred makes the least probably on the show, Howard obviously makes the most. It seems logical that Howard gave the most and Fred gave the least.

given they had to travel to the wedding, the gifts are appropriate

Why do you think Fred makes the least? he's been there the LONGEST. Longer than Robin, even. In fact, I would posit that without Fred, Howard would not be the same performer/ entertainer that he is today.
Fred is the man behind The Man. I'm sure he's as compensated as Robin, even though he's worth 100 of her on The Show.

damn did Heather snap to in getting those TY cards out ..though they ring a bit disingenuous, no?
Artiefan1973
Mutt,

Have you gotten your thank you note?

Also, what did you give? :D

They've said on the air that Artie makes $1 million and Gary makes $500K. I'm guessing Fred makes about $250-$300K, but it could be more since he's been with Howard for so long...

I wonder what Robin makes...

I already answered both of these question on the first page of this thread. it was the nicest open thing on their wedding registry ( LINK)

heather called in as soon as she got he gift, read the card, and thanks all the 1%ers for the gift. it was very sweet and sincere. it was a couple days before the wedding.

I also believe that i did get a thank you card in the mail. both Kimmy & I remember getting it but it's been months and I'm not 100% sure. it's possible I'm mistaken and thinking of the invitation.

Bubba also thanks all of the crew on air several times as well. he also called into the Stern show and thanked them. they were just busting his balls becasue of the Bubba Boot Camp email.

Robin is the second highest paid.

Only thing I know about Fred's salary is that he made more than Jackie. :)

Do not try and lump Philly in with the rest of new england. totally different region
SHUA1973

i got $5000 from a family friend for a present once and he wasn't worth nearly as much as howard

Heather wrote very nice notes to Howard and the staff. Obviously she took time in each card and all the naysayers busting on Bubba and Heather can go fuck themselves..

Was this on todays Stern show? I've been missing a lot of shows this week, can't avoid it, first time ever.

I had assumed Howard gave a lot more than that.

I hoped all those guys made more than that. I'm sure Fred makes more than Gary, atleast I hope he does.

Robin alluded to Bubba that she made 1 mil a year starting on 1990 I think. If that is so, I'd have to assume that Artie, Gary and Fred are making a lot more than what you posted.

If I were Howard, I'd throw a chunk at Artie that he could not refuse to sign for the full Sirius deal, undercover and not letting the others know about.

The cost doesn't count. The fact that Mutt and crew thought enough to do something does. That shows some class to me.

This is one of the coolest things about Heather from meeting with them @ at Vegas meet n greet, they do know who we are when they can put a face to a name.

Fred makes nowhere near Robin

Robin made over a million a year in the 90's

I dunno...cash, while usually appreciated, is kind of impersonal. What was the point of them having a registry if people dont use it. Plus it does raise issues like whether they gave too much, or not enough.

While it wasn't the case, people giving cash also makes it seem like they were paying for the food and such that they had at the wedding...kind of like a cover charge for an all you can eat/drink buffet.

the truth of the matter is, that's a real shame. while I dont think Fred should be making more than Robin...he should at least be making as much as Robin given how long he and Howard have been together and the contributions he makes to the show. maybe that's why fred seems angrier than most of the fab 5...he's getting screwed out of pay he's deserved.

artie gave more than $1000.. remember how shocked bubba was when he opened his gift? he talked about it on his show for days. artie got a thank you note before fred and robin.

when the stern show cast started revealing how much they gave, i was anticipating arties answer only because of bubbas response to the gift months ago. notice howard went first and the rest of them followed hiding behind the previous amount revealed. artie answered right after robin who supposedly gave $1000 ... just saying.
SwampNinja
thats chunk change to howard. shoulda gave like 20K

true that brutha. freds salary is only worth like 10 bucks on his home planet :tu:

Did they all get thank you cards?

It's a wedding for a co-worker they haven't even known that long. All those gifts were very nice. Just because someone makes a lot of money, doesn't mean that they need to give thousands of $ for presents. Rich people are usually quite cheap; these gifts seem pretty generous to me.
