| I discovered this by accident...but I swear it works.....if you unplug your cable box and let it reset, the shows get updated. I do this everytime I am missing a show and it always appears after the reset. It applies to the other on demand channels too. At least on my system. |

| You can also hold the power button in on your cable box for about 10 seconds or until you see the word 'boot' appear, then release it. It will swirl around for about 5 seconds and then when the time appears again, hit the power button again and turn the cable box back on. You'll get a series of blue dots along the bottom of the screen and this is it updating. This reboots the system as well and helps if you are trying to access a show and keep getting that annoying as fuck message " We cannot access your request at this time, we appologize blah blah blah" |

I figured this out a long time ago when I had new shows upstairs and my downstairs box hadn't updated for months. I thought it was just a glitch in my box, looks like everyones been complaining for nothing. |

Wrong. I've had many shows missing in the past where I tried this method and nothing happened. The episodes were missing for everyone in my area and needed to be re-sent. |

| The unplugging trick is great, I've had to do that a few times. I've been a subscriber for a little over a year, just re-upped for another year. All I can say to people who are not getting daily updates is raise holy fucking hell to your cable provider. Don't be rude but be very firm and persistant. About two months after I first subscribed, I was missing shows left and right. I sent a few stern (no pun intended) e-mails to Comcast and after a week, it was all good. Just state to your cable company that you are paying for a service that they are not providing as advertised. At first, they'll probably try to deflect the problem to HTV. Humor them, e-mail On Demand. But the bottom line is the local cable company is dropping the ball. Stay on their ass and hopefully, it will get fixed like mine was. |

| The only way to listen to Howard on the radio, is to have a sirius Satellite radio. BUT if you have Satellite television (dish or direct tv) You CAN'T get Howard TV... Does anyone see the irony here??? :( |

What will it take to get HTV over to Directv, DTV has just recently launched testing for DOD (Directv On Demand). I have sent countless emails to the HTV staff and all I get in repsonse is a automated reply.

When I try to resume an episode I was watching it gives me an error message saying "could not perform action" The same thing also happens when I try to restart the episode... Does anyone experience this or know how to fix this problem? |

I have a feeling im missing at least 5-10 shows.......houston just went from time warner to comcast, so now the OS is different and i think throuhg a wrench in the works. No updates.... comcast acts like im retarded for asking...i need to give examples of things i know are missing..... |

The painting ep popped up for me after I rebooted earlier today. Time to check the list to see what's still missing now--thanks for the link! |

| I have Charter cable and the last episode I have is from 10/29, Ronnie's party. I'm paying $13 a month and they havent updated, it kind of pisses a guy off. Anyone else have this problem with Charter, or is it more than one company? |

I have Charter too (in Riverside, CA) and haven't had an update since November 5th! It's really ridiculous to not have an update in more than 3 weeks. For daily shows, I have only 2 now, both for November 8th. Every month I post in the Content Missing thread and for the last 2 months I've e-mailed HTV but still no results. The shows go away right on schedule but nothing gets added. What am I paying for?? It shouldn't be my problem to fight with my cable company. I shouldn't have to call HTV. I shouldn't have to fight to get content that I'm paying for. If Howard TV wants to keep their subscribers, they really need to start working this out. I'm very close to canceling and that's a shame...when I actually get shows, I love it but come on, we're missing 31 episodes!! |

I have Charter also, and ever since I read about unplugging the cable box here, it has helped somewhat. But, I have to do this several times a week (and I have three new cable boxes, all the same) and it sucks that this is the only way to get the new content. Who's dropping the ball here, and why is unplugging the damn box all the time the only answer?
Charter is clueless, and HTV just sends you a canned reply via email, leading me to believe that no one reads the email there, or gives a shit about our problems. It's a shame, because I love the service, but probably will cancel soon due to the pain-in-the-ass nature of it. |
