Im a cop in Bubbas home state of Indiana, and a BIG fan of the show, but i was a little dissapointed to hear Spice doesnt like cops, .. but it was cool to hear him defend the cop in the video, which by the way he was wrong for not listening to the chick at first, but she was wrong for taking off on him... But anyway Spice dont hate on the brothers/sisters in blue, im a cop and i dont hate on you or Brent for smoking weed and shit....
now if i can just figure out how to get bubba mud flaps on my patrol car! |

| LEO here 2. Good stop, just went about it the wrong way. Also, the video the news showed was cut. Once a person takes off (Flees), you enter into a new level on a traffic stop. The Deputy lost his sight of her movments and you never know what a persons real agenda is. Plus, if the dad was at the hospital anyway, nothing she could have done for him. |

| He got her information and went back to his cruiser. Then she decided to drive off. She was wrong and he did his job. So what he didn't show compasion when he first stopped her. Maybe if he ran her info and saw she didn't have any warrants then maybe he would have listened to her. But NO she decided to flee.. |

| no matter what you have to respect the badge and the guys who wear them i myself am not a cop but here in northwest ohio we have alot of great cops who would do anything for our community and seems the only people who dont like them is the guys fucking up!the only complaint i have around here is our state troopers act like they are god and really fuck with people but other than that i definetly want them on my side :D |

| You do not hate on them for smoking but 99% of cops do and go out of their way to act like tough guys. I have met some real cool cops but I have to say the bad ones outnumber them by alot. It seems many have some sort of complex when talking to you like they see you as the person that picked on them in school and now you cannot do anything so they feel powerful. |

The NYPD's academy has courses on community interaction now that were implemented over the past 20 years. In the past, most neighborhoods would distrust cops and/or be hostile. Now, the NYPD is almost universally respected. A couple of years back they even made it a requirement for cops to refer to people as "sir," or "ma'am" regardless of situation. NYC has never been safer.
If you look into the deputy's training, you'd probably find a deficiency in training on dealing with people.
Respect for the uniform goes both ways. Situations like this do not help at all. |

I have met some really cool cops who are good guys. But, I don't know if its the terrible stress of the job, dealing with criminals all day, or a certain type of person that is drawn to the job but the majority of cops I've come into contact with have been at best borderline asshole and at worst straight up deserve to die dirty.... from those i've met i'd say 30% good guys and the rest borderline assholes or worse. I don't completely blame them though, I don't know how i'd end up if i had to do that job daily, its one of the worst jobs on your mental health that I can think of.
For the record I have never once been even arrested for a crime let alone convicted of one, not even a misdemeanor.
I'm about spice's age and i think our generation has just grown up jaded and mistrustful of cops because of experience. |

| I would guess that the first thing that went through that cop's brain was "here's another one turning on the water works to get out of a ticket" Nobody seems to give a shit that she was going 30 miles over the speed limit and putting other people at risk. She took off and made the cops chase her around so she got manhandled. Big deal, ,she deserved what she got. |

I became a cop at age 26. Before that I had years of being a "bad guy" I guess you could say. I saw cops in the same light you do as well, however, deep down, I liked what they did and respected them for it. I wish now I could say I was never interviewed for one or two things however, what is done is done. There came a time, that I realized trying to be a tuff guy was just a bunch of bull shit and Law Enforcement was what I was wanting to do all along.
The fact of the matter is, once I got on the force, I realized, these guys are not who you think they are when you meet them in the street. Each Officer has two sides to them. One being the man his frineds and family sees, the calm, relaxed guy that rolls with the flow. The second side being his game face. The guy that has to deal with the 10% of the population no one else wants to on a day to day basis. It is unfortunate to think that just about every person you talk to in a day is lieing to you. Over time, you get to where you dont trust anyone, ever!
You name it and I bet a seasoned Officer has heard it. Now, I am not saying the approach this Deputy took would be mine, however, I can see that he has heard that excuse before. I bet if she would have been cooperative, he would have called in to the hospital for her, I know I would have. I have given 100 times more warnings then I ever have tickets.
Are there dickhead cops out there that really dont have an excuse for being dickheads, sure, but isn't that in every job? |

| Like all other people, there are good ones and bad ones. I think if you dealt with nothing but degenerates and fuckheads all day you would be a little stiff too. He was an asshole but she should have just told him to hurry up and write the ticket and then fought it, not taken off. When I get busted for something and I get an asshole cop, I just figure that it's karma getting me back for all the shit I have done that I never got caught for. |

| I dont get why people bother fighting with or arguing with cops though. On that side of things I completely turn into eddie hascal type of deal... but this lady here was a special circumstance. I mean she was finally caught AT the hospital how hard would it be for the cop to verify her story? |

I have a few cops in the family , So I am sure I know more LEO than your fake Footlocker guarding ass knows. I have been in a room on several occasions with 10 to 15 off duty cops. To hear cops talk to each other you learn what they are all about.
1. Milking the OT to death.
2. Their pension
3. Punking fools cuz they can.
4. How stupid the public is.

Why do some people think that the world owe's them something. That they can do whatever they want with no recourse? Steal from others and expect to be let go? Get stopped for DUI for the 5th time and still blame the cop for causing you hardship of a DUI.

While I respect the job the cops do, The mother fuckers who blatantly break the traffic laws are the ones that i wish would die in a horrible carfire... families or not.
Mother Fucker, if I gotta obey the traffic laws, So do you. There's NO defense for the asspirates i'm talking about... the assholes who flip their lights on and off to breeze through a stop light, who speed without having their lights and sirens on (At a VERY high rate of speed), Who pull Illegal Left & Right & U-turns with no sirens or flashers...

Another thing about the way cops drive(u turns, speeding, etc.), how do u know where their goin? maybe to a high priority call?
