INTEREST IN MOTORSPORTS 2008 IS RUNNING HIGH
BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE HAS SIGNED TO APPEAR TWO DAYS
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ MAY 18, 2007 . . . Interest in Motorsports 2008 presented by VP Racing Fuels is at a record high despite being eight months away. The 23rd annual mid-winter motorsports extravaganza will, for the second year in a row, take place at the plush Atlantic City Convention Center. The three day show will run from January 18th thru January 20th.
“We are happy to announce that VP Racing Fuels will return as the show sponsor for a third year,” said show organizer Len Sammons. “It is exciting to see how much interest there is in the show already.”
With many 2007 show exhibitors having already renewed exhibitors are reminded that they have first right to their same booth space until May 31st but after that date what space that remains available will be open on a first-come, first-served basis. Show space is going to be at a premium earlier than ever before. Information on display space is available from Joe Pratt at 609.888.3618 or motorsports@aarn.com.
Bubba Clem, best known as SIRIUS satellite radio’s “Bubba The Love Sponge” will be part of Motorsports 2008 Presented by VP Racing Fuels. The outrageous show is heard daily on SIRIUS’ Howard Stern channel Howard 101 and around the world via the internet. Clem, who drives the Miller Lite 101 VP-fueled dirt late model at East Bay Speedway in Tampa, Florida, has attracted a diversified list of guests to his show including everyone from NASCAR’s Tony Stewart to champion wrestler Hulk Hogan.
Bubba will appear in the VP Racing Fuels booth for two hours late Friday, January 18th and again on January 19th, while his Late Model stock car will be on display all weekend in the same area.
Sammons has made a number of changes in the aisle ways to make it even easier for show visitors to get around. A new show entrance will be available for C-Hall. There will also be expanded show hours.
New to the show for 2008 will be a special guest speaker (name to be announced) on Friday, January 18th. The public will be invited to hear the nationally known industry figure.
The show, featuring just about everything imaginable in motorsports, will again cover more than 275,000 square feet of the Atlantic City Convention Center.
The popular antique racecar displays will be back as will stage shows, FREE autograph sessions featuring major personalities in the sport, US Smokeless Tobacco’s Ms. Motorsports Contest along with free seminars covering a variety of subjects relating to the industry.
Sammons is planning to announce a couple more new events for the show in the very near future.
Again in 2008 there will be indoor auto racing taking place at the historic Boardwalk Hall on January 18th and 19th. More details will be announced shortly.
Many hotels in the Atlantic City area, convenient to the show, are offering discount rates for rooms, but rooms must be booked in advance to insure availability at the special prices. Information on the show and discount hotel rooms is available at www.aarn.com. |
