| I deffintely agree w/ the staffers that Montana wins that, at least for now. I think by the end of his career Brady will be better. I also think John Elway is better than both of them. Most playoff wins of any QB, Marino's stats to go w/ 2 SB rings. |

| Montana was better than Brady. Hell, Aikman was better than Brady. Brady is on a good run & adding so many top Free Agents in the Off Season will give him more to work with. We'll have to wait & see if it turns out as well in GAMES as it looks on PAPER right now. |

Elway would go down as the greatest if he had the team Montana had during the 80s. That being said, Montana HAS to be regarded as the best because of his perfection in Superbowls and his college career as well (noted for comebacks). He even breathed life into a "meh" Chiefs team and still has my favorite Monday night moment with that pass to win at the end of the game.
The list includes 5 qbs, but after Montana, you could argue for any of them. I'll go Elway. |

Montana, for now.
The Patriots are in great shape to win the Super Bowl this year though. They now have two deep threats in Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth. Brady should throw for 4,000 yards and 30-34 touchdowns this season, which would both be career highs. |

But I'm a Niners fan so I'm biased. But, Aikman was looking to be the "next Montana" back in the '90s and he didn't quite get there. Brady is awesome, no doubt, and has lots of time left to establish himself as perhaps the best ever. We'll see. |

And yes, Montana was better. Two of Brady's rings are courtesy of Adam Vinatieri. Yes, Brady got them in position, but if Adam misses those kicks, Brady would have as many rings as Trent Dilfer does.

elway was the best ever, he could scramble, run for positive yardage and had a cannon for a arm, and his 2 minute offense was unparallel....... and he was a great field general! I remember in his rookie year when he lined up under the right guard for the snap he was so confused, but he turned out to be the best ever. |
