That is so sad... When a record gets broken its supposed to be a time to reflect on how good the person was that set the record.. This record is the greatest record of all in baseball and its a mess with the whole Bonds sideshow.. I feel so bad for Hank Aaron, he was treated badly when he broke the record because of all the racism back in the 70s and now he feels he is losing the greatest record because someone cheated... Its really sad because he was always so supportive of Bonds until the last few years when the steroid stuff really heated up.. They even did a commercial together a few years ago where you hear a voice telling "Bonds, time to retire", you thought it was in Bonds head, well it was Hank Aaron on the speaker.. then the steroid stuff happened and he wont have anything to do with Bonds.. i have a feeling he had a personal conversation with Bonds and Bonds admitted it and thats why he wont comment, but also wont acknowledge Bonds anymore.. |

I've grown tired of all the blather about the horrible racism that Hank was subjected to. Let's face it...there will always be disgusting assholes who will send a "F-you nigger" letter to some African American athlete/celeb in the limelight....similarly there will always be blacks who dispise Steve Nash for being a spoiled whitey or get angry that Brady Quinn is given "special" attention because of skin-color or spring up and cheer wildly when OJ is let off the hook.
