Of course, the biggest lie in the Immigration Bill is the wording that states that the Guest Workers (given amnesty from their current illegal status) would - NOT - be entitled to government benefits... unemployment, welfare, food stamps, housing subsidies... down to Social Secureity and Medical/Medicare...
That's what the legislators put in the bill to con the American people into thinking that 12 million people with little education, rudimentary skills and little English won't become a burden on the already over-taxed (and destined to go bankrupt) social programs... for citizens.
Problem is that - THOSE WORDS MEAN NOTHING - the legislators KNOW that and their "out" is that the Supreme Court woule wipe out those words under the Constitutional amendment "Equal Protection Under the Laws" i.e. we couldn'd have a "sub class" of citizens being classified as "property" (i.e. slaves) and ANY "Guest Worker" status could not be used to deny these people access to the social programs used by American citizens.
And the precident is that the Supreme Court has already ruled that a person's "immigration status" is irrelevant when it comes to emergency health care services... under Federal Law, medical treatment can not be denied to a person because of any suspicion that they may or may not be a citizen... or even have health care coverage...
Very human.
Problem is that that means ANY ailment is sufficient reason to go to the emergency room - regardless the economic consequences to the hospital and the insurance monies that end up paying for those uncovered services...
Tell me the judge who would rule that a "Guest Worker" would not be entitled to Welfare, or Food Stamps... or Social Security after working here for decades. |

Consequently, the Immigration Bill WOULD be far worse than the current status quo when you consider 12 million illegals, times two (to include their wives) times two (to include at least one child, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa... who would immediately go on social security as the relatives of legal immgrant families are allowed under current law) making it 48 million people with open mouths, few skills, no language skills and DE FACTO CITIZENSHIP!

| The immigration bill is just another attempt by the wealthy to drive the middle class into the lower class and further separate the classes. Importing uneducated, unskilled workers and their families undermines the base of American society- it will be like Mexico- a land of the Have and the Have Nots. |
