Yea, I have had it about a year now and they have updated their coverage areas quite a bit. They have deals with Verison, Sprint and AT&T to use their towers in certain areas. So it works pretty well.
Have used them for about 5 years for cell service and have been very happy.

I LOVE my stiletto! I was gifted one for xmas.. got a birthday coming up?? I think tss-radio.com has great prices, so keep an eye on there for sales and specials.. and put some aside each week.. it is worth it.. I got some new goodies for mine exactly a week ago that I ordered from TSS.. I am gonna do a write up I wanted to test all the stuff before I made a stiletto thread :) love mine.. love it..

i know they use Sprint and or Verizon because Alltel doesn't have service in my area but my cousin's phone worked when he was here. I don't think they would use AT&T/Cingular because Verizon, Alltel and Sprint use a CDMA technology and ATT and T-mobile use GSM. It's good to know their service works well though...I will have to keep that in mind.

You and Metalkitten should check out Tom Taylor at TSS if you get one. i got my Stiletto and a car dock for the same price there that i could get the Stiletto alone anyone else.

I purchased my stuff from TSS before Taylor was a member here so I'm not saying that because he posts here. They have a good deal going there and they are good at shipping fast and handling issues or with questions.

I finally got the FM Direct Adapter. Now I just have to get it put in.

let us know how you like that. I've been thinking about one but my Sportster does pretty good with the fm modulator unless i'm in philly then i do some channel hoping. I'll probably have to get one when i get a new radio because the fm transmitter in the new units has been screwed so bad by the fcc and nab.

I'll probably get around to ordering the C Crane FM Transmitter too.

speakin of which, i use an external fm transmitter that i bought a couple years ago fo my portable dvd, on my wifes sportster replay, cause the internal one is shit. when the fcc made them decrease the power output of the xmiters, did that also affect the stand alone xmiters that you can purchase elsewhere or just the ones inclusive to satellite radios?

The C Crane ones are stand alone and are supposed to work great.

i really like mine. i don't have a huge place but it's at least 4 times stronger than the tranmitter that comes with the Stiletto. Don't forget to ask for a Tested unit. I think they do the mod for you. Mine can full iggy effect.

I got my ccrane about 6 months ago and it's much better than even my Sportster Replay transmiter. The shower radio picks it up well and wouldn't even pick up the Stiletto alone. I listen to Sirius through the FM receiver in my Zune and can walk around the place with little or no static. That being said...The Zune has a much better receiver than you get in many Walkman type radios these days.

cool thanx, the one the wife has is a belkin and i can pick it up for about 100 yds, puts out 4 watts. i was thinking of replacing my old xact replay in my work truck, but i have to have portability so i can just gather up the antenna and power cord and move into another truck for the day. would i be correct in assuming that the fm direct adapter plugs into the antenna wire on the back of the radio?
