Ron Paul: Return To Our Original Foreign Policy - Click HERE to go to the original thread with graphics

Earlier this month the Future of Freedom Foundation hosted "Restoring the Republic: Foreign Policy and Civil Liberties," a conference that brought together liberals, conservatives, and libertarians in favor of peace and liberty. Among the speakers was Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. In the videos below, Paul argues for a noninterventionist foreign policy rooted in the wisdom of the republic's founders. Along the way, he connects his libertarian views on individual rights, monetary policy, and other matters to his opposition to empire and militarism.

Can we return to your original claim that you had sex with Jenny McCarthy and Kim Cattrel?

Is it covered on Antiwar.com?
Psychomike
No. Go away Stickman.

I like how liberals use the word, we. Representing the thousands of people here. Sick. You refused to bet. You do not dictate terms.

When our founding fathers were alive they prevented liberalisms fallicies on the Constitution. While still alive, whenever the Federalists take about the Constitution being fluid was raised the surviving signers would spoil the fun by saying, "No, actually, this is what we meant". The Federalists couldn't wait for those guys to die.

But once they were gone the games could begin.

Let's look at some of the things they've changed:

1. Government wasn't supposed to be involved in labor issues, but from wage price freezes to use of the anti-trust laws it is hard to imagine them more involved. Add to that telling people what they can serve, whether they can operate places that allow smoking, it is hard for us to imagine what our original founders what have thought about all that. Actually, it isn't hard to imagine. When a simple tax was added to whiskey, hundreds of farmers marched to shoot the people that had passed the law. Which brings us to:

2. Ignoring the second amendment. Politicians, after shootings in Chicago, pass symbolic laws against gun sales. I say symbolic, because there are no gun stores in Chicago. No store to buy a handgun at. Only criminals and cops have guns legally here. Aldermen, however, are allowed to have armed guards and- carry guns!

The average time for a response to a 911 police call in Pilsen is 30 minutes. In Lincoln Park, less than 7 minutes.

Either way, that seems like a long wait when you are being attacked or raped. Sadly, most cops are called AFTER the crime. A crime that many times would have been prevented with a gun at home or in the purse.

3. Free speech. Gone. When liberals started the FCC they told us it was to make sure the radio waves didn't conflict. It didn't take long for it to become a morality force and by the time
of TV a censor.

Oddly, TV and radio were seen as exempt from the free press!

Chicago is a glaring example of why gun control doesn't work and a reminder that Government can not protect you from criminals but has no hesitation to disarm law-abiding citizens solely designed to continue the illusion they can.

I happen to think that the motivations are more sinister.
Psychomike
Something screwy with the board- but here's the rest:

But the government could expand its control over the rest of the "presses". Then add hate crime legislation, political correctness at schools- free speech is gone.

4. Right to own property. Gone. Somehow the pride of ownership became the guilt of ownership. Catch your local government taking illegal money? They can declare your property theirs. Cities would have been able to seize properties that rented to hippies in the day, if they had doman over your home.

5. Right of free association. When date rape was being promoted as a likely occurence, and sexual harrasment problems began to include suing companies because people talked about Seinfeld episodes at work the left moved quickly. Company after company passed rules against dating co-workers.

Ron Paul wants us to return to the Constitution. How many of us would still agree with it?
Psychomike
I suspect you are on to something Luther.

They aren't that smart.

Gun control advocates believe in Utopian values and believe Government can create a Utopian society.

Don't you wish. I imagine you don't like it when someone questions your ridiculous assertions.

Stickman he doesn't want you to go away. He loves the attention. If he really wanted you to go, he would ignore you.

Good point. I just wonder how anyone can take any of his posting seriously when he has made outrageous, unsubstantiated claims. Not that I think anyone does take him seriously.

How can you tell what his assertions are? His posts are so all over the place, I cannot stick with any of it. :(

It's not easy, but at some point he claimed to sleep with playmates, McCarthy, and Cattrell and a Chicago Trib article would prove it.

I'd be happy to shut the fuck up and leave the guy alone if he can prove it. But he can't, so I don't see the point of discussing whatever other bullshit he posts on here.
mingmen
where is the microfiche?? :D
Psychomike
Yet some strange compulsion drives him here. :D

Interesting that when they stumbles on a conversation about the Constitution it's "bullshit".

Keep in mind, the above people actually argue that people on the internet should give up their Constitutional rights! While listening to a DJ who has had to fight Constitutional abuse.

They give up their Constitutional rights, and bully those that don't.

This is the true face of liberalism.

Go back and read my posts pertaining to what we have lost.

To them, the examples given are, "all over the place", they honestly don't understand what I'm saying.

And thats the point of this post. With so many of us willing to surrender our rights for no reason, when we aren't even asked to, to be on the site dedicated to someone who has fought for his Constitutional rights and see no contradiction when it comes to surrendering theirs, do we still believe in the Constitution.

I would say, by their own words, the answer is no.
Stickman
Who told you to give your Constitutional rights? You're a funny little drama queen, and a delusional one at that.
