This may or may not be a good place for me to post this, So the mods should feel free to take it down if they choose to do so.
This happened Yesterday June 18th/2007 and I felt compelled to share it, My thoughts and prayers go to the the Family of trucker.
Monday, June 18, 6:12 p.m.
A truck driver is dead and two people are under arrest after a massive multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 400 just before noon Monday.
Eyewitnesses said the truck driver died a hero after stopping his rig from veering into oncoming traffic in the incident around 11:20 a.m. Monday.
The highway was expected to be closed in both directions until as late as midnight after the tractor-trailer went into the ditch just south of Hwy. 89.
Police are looking into reports that two or more vehicles were seen weaving in and out of traffic shortly before the crash, said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Cam Woolley.
The OPP are also investigating a third vehicle that reportedly left the scene of the accident, Woolley said.

His family is never gonna see him again because some dumbass's were driving to fast and wrecked in front of him and he's a hero?? You really think he wanted to do that?? You dont think that having to lock it up pulling empty short wheelbase doubles had somthing to do with it?? He didnt do that on purpose. And now he's dead. Not a hero...just a victim of some retards and a bad situation. |

it wasn't the racers that fucked him up,
it was the mini van with kids inside,
he tried to avoid hitting the van and lost it, the Accident recreation team say that he pointed it to the ditch,
if that rig ends up on it's side, he may have survived,
NO, i don't think he killed himself on purpose
but yes, he ditched it on purpose |

| Where does it say anything about kids in a minivan?? Theres not even a minivan anywhere around there and the cop said 2 young people were arrested. Wheres the minivan with kids that he avoided?? And sorry...comes to your kids or seeing mine again....sorry bout your luck. |

The driver chose to bail off the highway to avoid going through the guard rail and plowing into oncoming traffic & cost him dearly, I have to say he chose the right thing to do...shitty deal but that's life.

Happened in my p/u truck had a car full of Asians run a stop sign out in the country
instead of hitting them broadside I squared up to their left front fender dropped a gear
put my foot into it, they ended up doing pirouettes into a field & I held my line. |

It happened at the weekend here in Canada where alot of people leave the city to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city life & go to there cottages to relax.Alot of people take the family including kids!so that's where the "minivan with kids in it" come from douchebag.Have a heart for god sake!!!!!! |

| I think that trucker definitely did the right thing, and he deserves to be called a hero. There is just no way I would be able to live with myself if I'd plowed into a minivan full of children in order to save my own life. That minivan might have been my wife and kids. |

There are two kinds of people in this world, those who grab another gear and roll over anything in front of them, and those that will do anything they can to avoid hitting things in front of them.
I think it's bullshit to call someone an asshole because he would do something diffrent then what you would do.
Drive a 53" rig, an SUV, a Moped or anything else in Los Angeles & get cut off enough and realize nearly everyone else out there drives like they have a death wish it is easy to go over to the Drive through them side, I'm not losing my arms legs cock or life for some asshole or the victim of an asshole who caused a wreck, I'm stayin straight doing what I can, but in the end if it's me or them, the choice is easy for me it could be a 500 passenger busload of retarded children, I come first, WHy because everyone else come first to them.
Push the blame on the person who caused the accident.
I have suffered physically and financially from not drving the line I can assure everyone who has a doubt it is better to drive straight on over people then try to avoid something Because at that point your taking responsibility for what happens after that.
Not everyone drive's a silver honda, respect others choice to run others right the fuck on over if it comes down to you or them. |
