Acid's got more of that mind-blowing, mind-meld-with-god emotional element. Mushrooms tend to be more of a surface/visual experience. Shrooms can give you a bad trip too tho. With acid, it's measured out. With mushrooms, they can be different sizes, different strengths and even if you get the same dose every time, the effect is greatly affected by how much food you have in your stomach. With an empty stomach, you may get off so hard you freak. On a really full stomach, you may just barely get off at all.
Ecstasy doesn't really rely on mood much. You ALWAYS feel good on Ecstasy. Too expensive, too short-lived and somewhat dangerous tho. FAIRLY safe, but you gotta watch out for that dehydration thing, and it IS psychedelic meth-amphetamine after all, so if you have high blood pressure or a heart condition, it could be dangerous on that level.
NOTHING is better than sex on Ecstasy tho. I wouldn't even bother takin' it otherwise. It's just a waste then. Me and an old girlfriend did it together once, and we were fuckin' so hard and heavy, I got a cramp in my side, and for a few minutes there, I thought I might have actually herniated myself or something.
Sex on acid is pretty great too, but with acid, you can get so ga-ga that you're not really in the mood for sex. |

Acid's more emotional, so potentially it COULD get bad, but the dose is easier to control, so it's more reliable. With mushrooms, yer always playin' Russian roulette a little bit. Mushrooms can be much more casual and social. Acid's generally a lot more "epic" in effect. |

| As for the X, you may have gotten something else. A lot of times it's mixed with some other shit. Always go for tablets. Never buy capsules or "molly" (loose powder). You don't know what you get then. Coulda been stepped on 20 different times by the time it gets to you. |

| As for where to get X/Shrooms/Acid, you just need to go to a "jam-band" concert in your area sometime. Phil Lesh and Friends, The Dead, any of a hundred other more obscure bands. Always easy to find there. (Though these days, you see a lot more "Ecstasy" and Ketemine than the old days) |

Really? Thats awesome to know. Ill def look more into it and see if anyones getting anything decent. It cant be all that hard to get if I start actually looking for it harder.

Hah yeah, Ive tried everything I can get my hands on. Just always harder to get shrooms and acid. I knew guys that got them more often when I first started getting into pot, like when I was at that "Ill never touch anything other than pot" phase, and after that, I really havent heard anyone talk about it. But yeah, Ive slowly worked my way up to heroin. No needles though. Just snorting it. Cant stand the sight of a needle. Same with coke. Coke I used to love, but after not sleeping during a week long bender, it kinda lost its glory on me.
Plus, I was in between jobs at the time, so I really had nothing better to do. Now that I have a 7-3:30er, I dont do much during the week, and do some dope on weekends once in a while. |

I actually haven't been able to get my hands on the factory F150 hood yet to start up that prototype... apparently Ford isn't even selling them yet, but I got the hood that fits the 250-550 and got the design finished up... Getting ready to paint it today, and then I'll be building the production mold from it this week... Here's some pics, the ram-air and heat extractor ports aren't cut out cause they have to be solid for the mold making, but the production hoods will have them cut out and grilled...

Opiates are pretty bad news. It killed Jerry Garcia, and he wasn't into needles either. Course, he smoked it, so that may be different.
I didn't like opium that much. The first night, it takes 1 or 2 hits to melt into a puddle. The second night, you gotta take 6-7 hits for the same effect. By the third day, it's 15-20 hits. After that, you just never get back to that level. I can see how people get hooked, cuz you build up a tolerance REALLY fast. For me, it just wasn't worth the money, you gotta smoke too much after the first day. Either that, or only smoke it once every 4 or 5 days. |

well when i was actually doing it i was also a 'go to guy' for it. so i had some extra floating around. it does get expensive though. i don't even know if i could handle it now. i get paranoid when i get baked now a days |

Kesey actually recommended opium, not heroin, but I gotta believe it's pretty much the same thing. I saw him speak at Uconn when his last book came out. Naturally a whole LOT of questions people had were about drugs and the Grateful Dead.

Youre kidding. I can still get pretty high off just 1 bag. Usually when I pick up, if its a week day, then Ill grab one, and itll knock my ass out for a lil while. If I really wanna get high like when I first started, Ill get 2 bags, and it fucks me up the same way. I really dont do that much. Ill never spend more than 24 bucks at a shot, and thats if its 8 bucks a bag. I tend to buy no more than 3 bags to last me a day or 2.
I guess I just dont do it often enough for me to start needing as much to still get high. Although its not the same as it used to be. Im more chill, I used to fucking talk like a rambling man, like when I was doing coke.
Not a clue the sizing of the bags either, Id say its about the same size as like if you ground up an asprin or something. Maybe a lil smaller, so that could be not much. |

Well, heroin's a lot more refined, but the tolerance thing definitely built up really quick when I smoked opium. Only done that a couple times. That doesn't show up on tour that often. REAL opium anyway, not soapium. |

Wow that sucks. I saw Galactic at the Warfield. Great venue for a show. I can't even imagine what it'd be like to see the Dead there.
Though if you're a Californian, that would definitely explain the volume of shows you got to see. You lucky bastards always got twice as many shows a year as us east-coasters. |
