Listen to Spice's accounts of producing Lasker's show he once had one day a week at 98 Rock, and then get back to me ... at least he was better prepared than Ned was for his lone show attempt (or so I've heard) ... but if Spice's account is any indication, you had to get nearly four hours of material from Lasker in order to get one good hour of show content ... don't get me wrong, I love Lasker on the radio, but too much of him will almost certainly lead to burning him out ... |

Lasker is part of the Bubba The Love Sponge Show and is a funny character for the show. On his own, unfortunately I think he fails. Bubba, Spice and Brent all make Lasker funny.
Sort of like Seinfeld; i.e. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards. They were great as part of the show, however on their own, their not so special. |

Personally i could'nt ever see a show with just Lasker, now a show with Lasker/ Ned / and spice or Brent producing?????? I agree 100% that produced right it would be very good& funny. But you'd also just have to do it once a month so that it's not heavy over kill. The Doctor is getting old and i'd find it was more interesting once a month or at least every two weeks.
In all i'd like to see some more of Bubba's guys doing different things either on 101 or maybe another channel. A hour a month is'nt hard depending what type of show it is. Manson could do a parody show, 25 could do a rap show, Spice a Alt rock show, brent and his paranoid mood hour. It just has to be once a month or 2 weeks if it's a great show and goes over well.
It would be interesting to hear the Btls crew outside the show. |

As for the radio, hearing Lasker talk about racing and what not could be good but I don’t know how many people around here are into sports. |

Bubba has the best guys in the business on his show (that includes Gene, even though he's not actually a radio guy), but it's been proven time and time again that they can't host shows. They need Bubba, his ADD, and speech mistakes to play off of in order to contribute.... just like Bubba needs them in order to have a good show. |

Why is it everytime someone is funny as a guest in a group of 5 other people eveyone thinks they would be "radio gold" on their own? Gary the retard is funny with Howard and everyone else it doesnt mean he can have his own show. I love Lasker as a guest to but to think he would be even remotley listenable on is own for an hour is laughable.
If they want to use Lasker they should send him out to places with a video crew doing Lasker investigates. |
