The mid/late 90s are well over, and these high priced superstar filled teams just don't work. What more evidence do you need? Like I said, not a bandwagon fan, but I'm not delusional either. |

That's right. What's the big deal? So the Yankees are having a bad year...shit happens! They're fans are so not used to this that they're on the verge of suicide. Sox fans have gone through this for decades. Sure we bitch and moan, too, but not like this! It's good to go through something like this once or twice(read 2004) in your lifetime. OK, far be it for me to defend a Yankee fan, but I think you all need a lesson in the term "bandwagon fan"
They are fans who know little or nothing about a team or sport, and when a team is surging, and winning, causing buzz and excitement, they "jump on the bandwagon" and start wearing gear, watching games, talking sports. Then when the season is over, win or lose, they have no interest. They don't follow winter talks, they don't care about spring training, etc.
Nuge has merely pointed out the obvious, things don't look good for his team. It doesn't mean he'll stop watching or rooting for them. He won't stop posting around here, and he won't be rooting for the SOX or METS. Of all the posters on here, and I have to say, I only started posting in here last fall, he has been around consistently.
Bandwagons are for winning teams, there is no YANKEE bandwagon to jump off. |

of course sox fans dont moan about lousy seasons..#1 they are from Boston for the most part..so they are used to lousy anyway and #2.with one exception in last 88 years..most of their seasons have been lousy :D |
