They did a pretty good ESPY's spoof on SNL many years back. I believe it was right after the 49ers won the SB and they did "Best Football Team" award and the 49ers won. Same went with every other team that won their respective championship. It was pretty funny.
ESPN continues to have meaningless competitions to see "who's the best athlete," etc. Nobody gives a fuck. When it all comes down to it, it's an opinion-based argument. It's like having an awards show and giving out an award for "favorite color of the year." |
