One of the further Left preachments outside the highly environmentally inefficient Rock Concerts, was that the Right "hates" the environment... from drilling in Alaska, to strip mining, to massive of land used by "corporate farming"

Of course, this could - much more easily - be turned on it's head...

Why the Left hate Humanity?

While there is a certain disregard for the Natural World when it comes to making a buck... or just keeping the gas flowing cheap (which is hardly a "right" concern given the moderates to liberals I meet ever day who go ballistic at the sight of $3 gas!!!)

But, when you examine the policies put forth by the Anti-Global Warming crowd, they are really anti-human (and I can pull a number of quotes that express such sentiments.) They seem to believe that is some Nature Goddess and the ONLY thing that is fucking up her world... is "us"

Not eartquakes or volcanos or asteroids that might threaten to annihilate every human on the face of the earth... that would be "acceptable collateral damage" for most "greens"

No - their #1 one fear is MAN - that Man is polluting the earth with Humanity, not just his waste, but his buildings and signs and "Leroy Was Here" imprint on an otherwise "natural" and - thereby "perfect" world...

And that is why the Left, that follows chapter and verse of the Scientific Creed that says that Mans is the ONLY cause of Global Warming - and anyone who doesn't believe in this Gospel need be silenced, ridculed, or otherwise elimigted from further discussion - can not begin to fathom that maybe, just maybe, climate change, like the Ice Age, is a "natural" process... one that would continue whether we were here... or weren't.

No, that concept is too big to consider. Why? Because, while the Left doesn't not believe in any "god" (i.e. made up by mankind) they DO believe in the Mother God of Nature, or the Natural way of things...

And, if the Natural Way of things means mankind must be swept aside, so be it, they would even provide the brooms. They are Nature's ultimate lemmings w/o which there would have been no Man's Dominiion over the Natural World... at least for the present.

Let's remember, it was Leftists that took Darwin's theories and evolution, natural selection and promotion of the species - at the expense of the individual - and wrapped them up with Hegelian and Marxist rhetorica and gave us the Soviet Union and Red China and the Killing Fields... where trhe "weak" and the "excess" were starved and exterminated for the good of the few who were needed to carry on a more efficent and would create a less "carbon heavy footprint" for a sampling of Socialist Mankind.

We should really look deeper in why the Left has embraced "environmentalism" as their Socialism Redux... because the ACTUAL implementations of socialism/communism has given the world it's greatest environmental disasters form Eastern Europe, thru the crumpling Soviet Republics, to China having 16 of the 20 most polluted cities in the world... all under STRICT SOCIALIST GOVT CONTROL.

Yupe, as a one time tree hugger...

I have to say that I began to wonder what the "red" in the "green" was all about...

Especially when I travelled to Eastern Europe and saw what kind of "environmental" policies that Liberal/leftist, non-capitalist govts had visited upon their lands after 50 years of Soviet Domination...

But I will admit that - the ultimate irony - is that China IS the most Kapitalistic nation on the earth today - and the most polluted... but it is run by a government that was inspired by Marxism??? And it remains the model for more most Liberal/Leftists today - pointing at the need for a Central Government to take tighyer control of people' slives... as natural resources are being "drawn down" and "overused"

Gore advocates doubling the tax on gas for every consumer - then passing out carbon credits so that every American uses their "fair share" of gas, and later a/c and heat... all strictly controlled by the government, so we can report to some World Body that "we" are conforming to some Internation Std... regardless of the fact that India and China and Brazil... won't

Are manifestos subject to the same grammatical standards?

At least Kaczinsky was a mathematical genius. We are subject to the ramblings of retards like Psychomike/Geodummy.

I don't think they're the same. Psychomike was much more douchey, Geo is dumber and, believe it or not, less coherent. Just an observation.

My maniacal proofreading addiction kept me going.
GeoDaddy
Cough, cough, as if it was worth my time to "proof read" you would seriously address the post...

Face it, the problem is not in "understanding" - you understand very well - the problem is that you have NO arguement by which to counter the claims... you simply can not admit that - once you have repeated the C&P liberal, progressive script that you - religiously - need to espouse (to remain a "believer" in the socialist secular religion) you, like any Chrisitian that can't reconcile two differnent points in the Bible, simply throw up your hands and profess, "I believe - Because it is Absurd!" (Thomas Aquinas)

Nope - I give you poetasters some credibiblity when you simply embrace the obvious consequence of your beliefs i.e. that Americans should pay double for gas as a tax, to make any serious dent in our use of fossile fuels...

Until them you are just the same jerks who keep spouting off about "getting out of iraq" w/o a single acknowledgement of what happens... next... and are YOU willing to take responsibility for that (given that the fresh elected democratic congress wasn't...)

But wait - I am asking dopes to take responsiblity for national security when I can't even see any evidence of them taking responsiblity for their freedom of speech? ? ?

Who am I kiddin'

Ft. Collins has gotten better, but Boulder is about the same.

In many ways it is still a liberal town, but elitist is the perfect word..... It was still a great place to grow up, just because of the proximity to the mountains and their devotion to creating bike trails, etc...

What makes me really laugh is that these assholes CLAIM to have moral superiority, but they think NOTHING of abusing and poluting the only planet humanity can live on at the moment.

limp-paw's contention that god will take care of the planet so we don;t have to is egotism in the extreme.

they hold NO sense of responsibilty at all for the shit THEY inflict on the world.

no one with 2 brain cells claims that the ONLY damage to the environment comes from humans. Intelligent people only want to minimize any abuse the WE do. We obviously can't stop vocanoes from erupting or hurricans from existing.

but we CAN stop throwing our shit all over the place.

why is it impossible for these people to see that RESPECTING the one Earth we have is the MORAL and Eithical thing to do??

is it because they have no morals and eithics???

My son and I loved it, my daughter though was still a little young and got board after awhile. Very educational.

Made it up to her the next day at Frontier Town, near the same area. It recreates the Old West with shootout, stagecoach rides (including getting robbed). A real neat spot.

It was a couple of days of history before a couple of days at the beach and the amusement parks.

We're heading Williamsburg Va. for much the same thing in a few weeks. History and Bush Gardens.

No! You just gave me a great idea!

A Bush theme park where the kids can experience the world according to Bush. They can sniff candy cocaine, pretend to be AWOL from the TANG, and even be waterboarded for fun, since it is DEFINITELY not torture according to the Bush supporters.

And all the toilet paper in the park would be replicas of the US Constitution!

We could have lots of shotgun-wielding robot Cheneys roaming the park, telling all the kids to "fuck off".

I'll get to work on it right away!!!

Been there, done that and it was a fucking blast! I love the coasters. Many years ago I had quite an experience involving the Loch Ness Monster, a few tabs of acid and the ride getting stuck. I thought it would be funny at that point to turn and yell "oh god, we're all going to die!" Nobody else (including the girl who is now my wife) though it was nearly as funny as I did. There was much screaming (and a few punches in my side) but in the end I still thought it was funny. Hell everybody wanted a thrill ride!

We actually went to VA twice for vacation, there is a ton of stuff to do, Yorktown, Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens and a HUGE water park with some very cool wet rides, the water park isn't in the amusement park, you have to drive to it...well worth it though..the whole deal down there is two thumbs up in my book..hope you're getting a package deal with all the attractions in one deal...we did saved us a lot of money

I stay in Williamsburg a lot. I think the water park is Water Country USA or something like that. We get season passes for Busch Gardens (it only costs about 2 days admission if you get them early) and it includes the water park. We don't usually do that though was we have them nearby. I plan to take the kids to Jamestown this year and check out the archaeological digs and watch the glass blowing. Last year we did Colonial Williamburg and Jeffson's home, Monticello.

I am with you there is just so much to do right in that area. I recommend it to anyone, especially anyone into history.

Williamsburg , the museums, I needed a month just to tour them the way I wanted to, but yes there is NOTHING I didn't enjoy down there, when we went to Jamestown there is a ferry you can take up the James river, really nice if you want to just kick back and take in some scenery, and not that expensive either.
