Chris benoit had Xanax and Hydrocodone in his system along with a presence of Testosterone, which indicated steroid use within the last 6mos-1year. No GHB was found. The presence of testosterone only indicates that steroid use was present at one time and could have been a prescription to treat testiculitus.
Wonder how Bubba will spin this after claiming rampant steroid abuse and no Growth found in him. Isn't Bubba himself on Testosterone replacement??
Benefits of Testosterone Replacement Therapy
A number of benefits of testosterone replacement therapy have been demonstrated, including effects on mood, energy levels, and libido. Long-term follow-up of testosterone replacement in hypogonadal males and a control group indicates that self-assessment of libido was significantly higher (p<0.0001) in the testosterone-treated group. Testosterone replacement has also been shown to enhance libido and the frequency of sexual acts and sleep-related erections. Transdermal testosterone replacement therapy, in particular, has been linked to positive effects on fatigue, mood, and sexual function, as well as significant increases in sexual activity. More specifically, testosterone replacement therapy has been shown to improve positive mood parameters, such as feelings of wellness and friendliness, while reducing negative mood parameters, such as anger, nervousness, and irritability. Testosterone replacement is an effective treatment for some depressive symptoms in hypogonadal men and may effectively augment treatment in selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)-refractory major depression. Relative to eugonadal men, hypogonadal men in one study were impaired in their verbal fluency and showed improvement in verbal fluency following testosterone replacement therapy. |

Hydromorphone
Hydromorphone is a drug developed in Germany in the 1920s and introduced to the mass market beginning in 1926. It is used to relieve moderate to severe pain and severe, painful dry coughing. Hydromorphone is known by the trade names Hydal, Sophidone, Hydrostat, and most famously, Dilaudid.
Hydromorphone is becoming more popular in the treatment of chronic pain in many countries, and it is used as a substitute for heroin and morphine where these two drugs are not marketed on account of hydromorphone's superior solubility and speed of onset and less troublesome side effect and dependence liability profile as compared to morphine and heroin. |

DECATUR, Ga. --Pro wrestler Chris Benoit had an elevated level of a steroid in his system when he took his life after killing his wife and 7-year-old son, but it was impossible to say whether that played a role in the killings, Georgia's top medical examiner said Tuesday.
Dr. Kris Sperry said tests found 10 times the normal level of testosterone, indicating that Benoit likely injected the substance shortly before he died. But he said there was no evidence of any other anabolic steroids in the wrestler's system.
Sperry said the boy appeared to have been sedated when he was asphyxiated, and Benoit's wife, Nancy, had a "therapeutic" level of sedatives in her body.
The medical examiner said too much should not be read into the testosterone results.
All in How you spin it, Headlines sound better that way.

Brent Hatley is a fucking idiot. When Bubba said that they found hydrocodone and Xanax in Benoit's system he said "both of which are opiates". Got news for you, dickhead. Xanax is NOT an opiate, it is a benzodiazapene (tranquilizer).
Someone should set up www.brentiswrong.com. It would be more content rich than CNN. |

I am surprised that Bubba and Brent are on the blame steroids angle of this whole deal. Especially when Bubba's wrestler buddy Hogan pioneered the use of steroids in the 80's and Brent's wrestler buddy Test was juiced up like crazy the last time he was on WWe tv.
Beniot was obviously mentally unstable and steroids didn't make him kill his family. |

Wouldn't it be fair to say that he was mentally unstable AND the fact that he had steroids, along with Xanax and Hydrocodone in his system made him flip the fuck out??? |

Read up on Xanax and vicodin kid learn to see the swerve and figure out a work.
Who would care if the headline read nothing but legal prescriptions found in Benoit? no one.
You could see ABC lawyers had to get consulted before they changed there headline.
Why would that be? |
