| WOW! I wonder what the NFL will do? Season? 10 games? Going to be interesting since he's the biggest name to get busted under the new commissioner's reigns. |

| Shit. Pacman got a year suspension for just being under investigation. A felony indictment is serious shit. Who the fuck is the Falcons backup? Doug Johnson? |

| He really sounds like a wonderful guy from the news stories. Here's hoping they throw the book at him. He'll enjoy the many fights he gets into in the slammer. |

| Hopefully he'll become someone's bitch in prison. Aside from a child molester, there is no lower lifeform that someone who abuses animals. Drop dead Vic. |

| What a dumb ass! Starting NFL quarterback, making millions and millions of dollars a year, but he needed a sick hobby to get a rush. He and his buddies would strangle, hang, or drown the dogs that didn't perform well in the fights, or so the Feds say. Sick fucker! |

This is from the Falcons:
Falcons Statement
The Atlanta Falcons issued the following statement regarding the U.S. District Court indictment of Falcons QB Michael Vick Tuesday evening:
"This situation has been troubling to many people, including our fans, during the last few months. With today’s news, our club and team will continue to be tested as Michael works through the legal process toward a conclusion.
We are disappointed that one of our players – and therefore the Falcons – is being presented to the public in a negative way, and we apologize to our fans and the community for that.
Obviously, we are disturbed by today’s news from Virginia. However, we are prepared to deal with it, and we will do the right thing for our club as the legal process plays out. We have a season to prepare for and training camp opens next week. Our plan is to continue to do everything we can to support our players and coaches." |

That's fucking bullshit. As bubba had said some time back, time for everyone to start sending mail to the falcons management, and whoever the fuck is running the NFL these days.
Fuck the falcons for backing that prick. |

Obviously, he's presumed innocent... but once the Federal Government comes after you, you're screwed. They have unlimited resources.
I would almost bet that he will not be completely cleared. He will have to plead to some lesser charge. He might get out of jail time, but he'll get the NFL pissed off at him for sure. |
|
|
| SoCalLion |
Yeah I have a feeling he'll escape jail time but definitely plead out and most likely throw the other three people under the buss, the big question is what will the league do to him once he does plead out. I know that the NFL has already released a statement along the lines of "We will wait to see what comes of the charges before we take any measures concerning Michael Vick"..will the commish come down hard on him (I really hope he does..son of a bitch needs at least a year suspension) or will he go lighter on him.
Either way Ron Mexico should rot in hell for what he did, come on man you had the world a top notch college player and a star in the NFL and you have to go and do this shit, apparently now we know where his lil bro learned how to do all the shady shit eh? |

i just read this book about fighting
muy thai, mma, etc and it had a section where the author went to thailand and learned about fighting cocks and there was a chunk about why fighters have such a close relationship with dogs
pit bulls in particular, and especially the brazilians
he wrote about dog fighting in an almost pure and noble way
i'm not saying vick was like this because from what i read he did some fucked up shit to his dogs
taking yourself out of the picture with your fluffy dog
what is the difference between eating a cow that was selectively bred to be meaty and taste good
these dogs are born to fight, its in their DNA
they're selectively bred for certain traits and GAMENESS, the love of fighting and will to not quit
these dogs are not forced to fight, its what they want to do, like a hound wanting to track scents
that being said, i dont think i would be able to watch a dogfight and i shudder when i think about my little dog fighting; but there is something beautiful about the image of two creatures fufilling their purpose in a fight |

| if convicted, vick deserves to be lit on fire while he is hung.......just like what he did to those dogs. |

As soon as they said he would body slam the dogs to death, I immediately thought of the look my pit mix gives me when I tease her with one of her toys. That sad look of "why wont you just throw it so I can catch it?" I cant believe anyone would do anything like that.
If a dog, or any domestic animal really, needs to be put down (for legitimate reasons, not because its not aggressive or strong enough) it should be humanely. Theres no fucking need to electrocute, body slam, hang or kill an animal any way other than lethal injection. If the dogs not up to par, put it up for adoption. There are plenty of homes for dogs that were bred for fighting, to help rehabilitate them into calmer dogs.
My uncle has a pit that was bred for fighting, that he rescued from the pound. They were gonna put him down when he was looking for a dog, and he adopted it instead. Right now, the thing is the calmest most adorable dog in the world. Hes only slightly food aggressive, and thats really only when you try to rip something from his mouth. Any other time, you can play with him like any other dog, and be completely fine. They have a 2 year old, and the dog has never even made an attempt, or looked like he was gonna do anything harmful. If anything hes very protective of their kid, and actually walks around with him no matter where the kid goes.
Vic should be thrown into a real prison, no federal white collar shit. Im talking a hardcore prison, and let fucking arian nation deal with his fucking ass, along with all the other gangs and shit. I hope the fucking bastard gets shanked.
He draws the definitive line between a black person, and a nigger. |

| I thought Brent had a great idea on todays show. Throw Vick into a pit with some fighting dogs. If Vick doesn't do so well, he can be hung and electrocuted, just like his dogs. |

Hopefully the judge is a dog owner..... or a real right wing republican and maybe we can get this asshole some time behind bars!! |

GREAT IDEA, we know it would never happen in this country unfortunately. I don't know who this thug is or care to know anything about him but if this is true this what brent described would be at least what he should get. I am a proud owner of a pitbull and it just fucking eats me up that piece of shits like this guy do the things they do to these animals. Cutting their ears, training to kill, etc just blows my mind. It give them a bad reputation that makes the average moron think they're all out to kill. Hope he rots in hell. |

I'm not sure why the judge would have to be on the right to convict someone on these charges. I'm pretty sure Mr. Vick will be spending some time in jail regardless of the judge. |

If you want to help get this fucker suspended call the NFL: 1-212-450-2000 (ask for public relations).
Although not jail time, it's a good start! |
|
|
| welkdude |
Even if he's found not guilty, he's still screwed......just merely indicted by the feds will have your rep ruined.
Plus there's this guilt by association gimmick as well
As for the Falcons, it's already a public relations nightmare in their part....once the fans stay away in droves and advertisers withdrawl their support....he's a goner
No football fan will forgive him for this.....many of them are pet owners as well |
|
|
| SantosLHalper |
| as of today, espn is reporting that the league will let him play "for now".....if that is allowed, it truely will be a travesty. im sure pressure will eventually cause them to rethink their position, if not..might be worth investing in nfl sunday ticket this season. |
