| Jackson Is awesome I have been a fan of his for a while. He has a few losses but he looks in better shape than I have ever seen him. He also looks more focused than I have ever seen him. What do you think about where the UFC titles set in the future? Not just Jackson but all the titles? |

i like Rampage but i don't think he'll hold the title past henderson, that dude is just an all around baddass. and will probally soon hold three belts over two fighting organizations.
I also think "The Muscle Shark"(Both the most fitting and dumbest nickname ever, that dude is built) will hold his title for some time.
The Welterweight/Middleweight/Heavyweight titles i'm not so sure about. |

Until he fights Dan Henderson.....
Not to take away from Rampage. I think he makes a great champion, but Dan is scary dangerous.
And once Fedor comes to the UFC the heavy weight class will be dominated by him. |

i didn't know sherk tested positive for roids, but i doubt they'll take the title from him.
it'll probally just be a 6 month suspension.
I think that's what stephan bonner got when he tested positive but i'm not sure. |

It's a full 1yr suspension, so Sherk in all likelihood loses the title if he doesn't get his positive test overturned.
I suspect this recent bunch of positive tests of high profile fighters will spur the UFC to start doing internal testing. I don't think they want to invest all the money and PR into a champion just to have him test positive and lose the belt. |

It's very hard to predict. The UFC is like baseball: on any give night any one can win. Chuck Lidell barely took two breadths before Rampage laid him out. It seemed that GSP was undefeatable until Serra knocked him out early in the first round.
The UFC is not giving Rampage any time to rest on his laurals. His first fight will be against Dan Henderson. Damn, at least let him fight a TUF winner first. |

Hopefully he'll hold om to it until Chuck gets his rematch. Not sure that will happen but I think the rematch would be put people in the seats now that mosy UFC fans have seen Rampage and love Chuck. Chuck v The Axe Murderer(Silva) is still the most interesting fight IMO.
Dana has worked this out great for the company. Money, money ,money in either direction. |

I don't think they have that option. I believe all combat sports have to be run though the State Athletic Commissions.........Boxing , MMA, Kick Boxing.
Imagine the NFL or Baseball being tested prior and after every event??? Tested by an impartial 3rd party with no direct financial gain directly attached to the test results. Bonds would end his career with 500 HRs. And football would look a whole lot smaller and slower. |

As soon as I posted that I thought "Maybe it was Ninja who got signed."
Yeah. Shogun fighting for the UFC is huge. You think Chute Box is going to modify their training regiments for the fighters, based on the different set of rules? |

No not really. individual fighters will concentrate on what they need for where they are fighting. Wandi or Shogun with elbows as well as knees?? They'll be like fish to water. They have always trained elbows now they will use them. |

| Remember that Wanderlei has fought in the UFC in the pre-Zuffa days, once even losing to Tito Ortiz. He's a veteran that's not going to have the same cage jitters that some others do. |

Yeah man, I was lurking at sherdog the other night, just randomly checking out stats and fighters and saw that Wanderlei fought in the UFC before. Hard to immagine all these guys that are huge now, were just getting started a few years ago. |

agreed. IMO the cage is an advantage to aggressive fighters. |

| Wanderlei Silva knocked Jackson out twice. Jackson is a great fighter but he can be beaten by a ring savy opponent who know how to take advantage of his poor defensive skills. |
