| i dont even use my radio anymore, i just stream online. i went through 1 antenna and the lights on my unit are starting to burn out. their radios suck so i figured i'd try to save whats left of mine inn case my internet connection goes down or my comp crashes. |

| I just had my radio go up yesterday and I found the customer service great. The obvious African American gentlemen in the warranty department just sent me a new Sportster 4. He was def not in India. I was on the phone for only 5 minutes total and they were really nice. |

thats exactly what I have to keep doing. Im getting another power adapter now. 2 power adapters down in 1.5 years and counting. SIRIUS EQUIPMENT SUCKS |

| The in-home equipment really does suck, which is why its great if you can stream online or go wireless with the Stiletto. The car install/reception has really been solved with the custom brackets and FM Antenna Power Booster which is a major upgrade from the magnetic antenna. |

2) you suck at calling customer service - i've never had a problem, they are excellent & usually ask for my # & call me right back w/in 20 mins w/ a solution

| I've had my subscption for less than a year. My first radio was stolen. My second broke it's p[ower adapter within a month. The replacement was broken as well. I paid to upgrade to a Sportster 4. After 2 months of flawless service it now says nothing but "aquiring signal", and it's not the antenna that's the problem. Its been three weeks and I'm dreading calling the warranty department yet again. |

I never had any issues with Customer Service there. Even their email address usually replies in 30 minutes for me at least. I call shenanigans on the OP. |

| i was thinking of writing a letter to sirius and mailing it to them regarding this since my e-mails go ignored too. i've been a member since feb of 06, and so far have gone through 4 antennas, 4 home power adapters and 5 car power adapters and 3 sirius starmate replays. i'm waiting on the UPS guy right now to deliver another cigarette power adapter. that's way too many replacements and sirius should at least acknowledge it and say they're making improvements or SOMETHING. |

Do you tend to unplug your radio allot? Especially the power cord? I have learned leave it alone once its all hooked up...I went through thee power cords and one radio within 2 years. Once your 1 year warranty is done your fucked. |

1)barely works as a walkman outside, not at all inside.
2)get acquiring signal for no reason on some days when i am fine other days.
3)My reception sucks in my car (nothing but static on almost every station I try) |

| Do what I did. Call Sirius and tell them you are going to cancel because your radio broke. From my experience they will do anything to keep you as a customer and will just send you a free Radio and antenna |

| I went through 2 antennas for the Sportster in the car in about 7 months. When I went to Radio Shack again an employee suggested that I keep it inside of the car. Since leaving it in the car a year ago I have had no problems. If you have a car unit - do not run the antenna outside. I just used some double sided tape to stick it to the dashboard. |

i sent an e-mail to sirius an hour ago about my constant having to replace shit, and they just sent this back to me:

My antenna started to fuck up and now they are sending me a new one. No questions asked. Call them up and tell them your antenna sucks balls, and you have tried your home antenna and had no problems with it. You put back on your car attenna and it would not work anymore. THe guy I spoke with gave me a ticket number and he is sending me a new antenna. He said the VP of sirius started this and wants all of the customers not to have problems getting a reception. :D

| I move my radio to my work truck,to my personal truck,to my Motorhome, to my boat, and to the house, it's always getting disconnected and plugged back in, It's only turned off for a few hours a day, I have never had a problem {YET} I've had the same radio since 9-05. | Since signing up in Dec '05 I have replaced the antenna once, the car power cord four times, the indoor power cord once and the Starmate Replay receiver itself once. The receiver, antenna and one of the car power cords were my fault because of my own clumsiness. One day the indoor power cord just burned out without warning. I was listening in the house when I smelled something burning. I looked over and saw smoke and quickly unplugged it. The warranty had already expired so I had to buy a new one and was careful to make sure I unplugged it whenever I wasn't listening. When my Starmate Replay cacked out I upgraded to a Sportster 4 and also got the boombox and haven't had any problems with them since I don't take them out of the house anymore. I bought a Stamate 3 to keep in my truck and have had to replace the car power cord three times in the last six months. One just stopped working without any apparent reason after a month so I was able to get a replacement cord from WalMart where I bought it. It lasted another three months and the tip broke off inside the outlet in my truck and I had to dig it out using a plastic knife. I also managed to blow the fuse for the horn, interior light and outlet in the process. That replacement cord lasted until yesterday when the exact same thing happened with the tip breaking off in the outlet. I went to a local store that deals exclusively with satellite radio sales and service the owner told me that this is a very common problem and he gets customers every day with the same complaint. Sirius should invest a little more time to make sure that the accessories are made with quality materials so they don't keep breaking like this. |
