SIRIUS Stiletto 100/10 v1.1 Software Updates

If you subscribe to Premium SIRIUS Internet Radio, your stiletto 100 will now receive
the full 128KBS streams offering near CD audio quality (SL100 only).
For a low subscriber only price, you can upgrade to Premium SIRIUS Internet Radio
and experience sound quality like you’ve never heard before! Learn More.

Quicker system performance allows you to access the music and talk you want faster.

Long program descriptions (title/artist information) now scrolls across your screen, so
you can easily see everything you want to know about what’s playing now.

The “All Channels” list now wraps to the beginning of the list so you never have to
scroll backwards after reaching the end of the list.

“Radio Replays” now shows you the total length of time available for each channel in
your list.

Now you’ll always know when your favorite sports teams are playing with continuous
Sports Ticker updates in the “Now Playing” screen.

With a push of the “Synch” button on your home dock, you now control when want
your Stiletto to connect to your PC, instead of automatically starting every time.

You can be sure that your Stiletto is shutting down now that a “Shutting Down”
message appears every time.

You can now disable the automatic 4-hour shut-down feature in a car-dock with our
new menu option.

You’ll never have to guess if your Stiletto is locked now that new lock icon will appear
to remind you when the keypad lock is engaged

SIRIUS Internet Radio channels can be accessed using the same preset buttons used
to select Satellite channels (SL100 only).

This is THE update Stiletto 100 owners have been waiting for! Finally, the music channels are listenable at 128 kbps, and H100/101 are at 49 kbps (instead of 32 kbps). If you are paying for the premium service, you now see "Internet Premium" instead of "Internet" once you've tuned to a wifi channel. For the record, the audio quality is now extremely good, and on a kbps comparison, it's actually higher than the satellite feed itself!

I've also noticed that the problem with the wifi feed stopping after a bit and throwing you back to the main screen is gone. Now when you start listening via wifi, it keeps playing (like it always should have).

Finally having presets for the wifi is another subtle big-time fix, as are the long descriptions and Radio Replay length displays.

If you own a Stiletto 100, use the wifi a lot, and don't have the premium internet service yet ($2.99 / month), give it a shot for a month (it's a month-to-month deal) and see what you think.

With this update I use my home dock only for charging. The new found freedom and better SQ reminds me of my hippie days when I went bra less.

I upgraded Stiletto software and also upgraded to premium internet service. Premium internet service works fine on my computer and sounds great but my stiletto does not display "premium internet" and the sound quality is still the same. I called Sirius and they told me that their working on getting stiletto users to stream the "premium service" and ill have to wait until they fix the bugs on their end. They credited me 1 month for my troubles. Is anyone here streaming "premium internet" on their Stiletto yet? BTW I love the upgrade!

I updated my two household Stilettos that are on my two different accounts. One worked flawlessly while the other did not. Until today.

I got on the phone with Customer Support and explained the problem again. This particular rep took the challenge to get me the SIR P working. He succeeded by re-zapping my radio (on satellite), rebooting and then finally by deleting my SIR P account and reactivating. He told me to reboot the Stiletto. I turned it back on and went to WiFi mode and sure enough, I am now receiving SIR P.

By all this, I am convinced the problems are not hardware related, but the CRM software.

BTW, both Stilettos are displaying "Internet Premium".

Rich, what do you mean by re-zapping your radio, rebooting? Which step do you think fixed the problem? At which points did you reboot the Stiletto? I'm having the same problem as you.

Great news…Thanks to Rich I called Sirius Tech Support tonight. The guy told me deactivating the SIR plus and reactivating it would cause me to be doubled billed for the month because SIR plus is non refundable.

Anyway he “his words” sent a rehit and had it provisioned. I never saw the message indicating the hit took but he had me check my WIFI connection after maybe 7 minutes and low and behold I am on Internet Premium. Rich I can’t thank you enough for this.


The keywords here seem to be “Rehit and Provisioned. Also this wont cause you to be doubled billed for SIR plus like Rich may have been.

Also note, I had SIR plus moved to my Stiletto Saturday or Sunday so this may or may not make a difference.

Here are a couple of side notes from my call

I called 1-888-593-7474, tech support then used the option for Audio then Audio is cutting in and out. I don’t know if this makes a difference or not.

Also the rep told me deleting SIR premium and adding it back won’t help much because premium stays active until the end of the billing cycle. He also said it would cause me to be double billed. That is when he did the “rehit and provisioned” it and it worked. He said this would basically let my receiver know it was able to receive SIR P. Also note I was on satellite when they did the rehit.

Am I understanding you correctly, are you saying that Howard 100/101 are streamed at a lower bandwidth than the music channels? I know it's the opposite with the satellite radio side of it where 100/101 are given more space than music channels.

Just set your stiletto on wifi mode listening to any channel. And Give it about 20 minutes and it should do everything by itself. The only thing youll need to do is after is finnished give it a full shut down. :)
