Sirius widget not working today

I've notice my sirius yahoo widget will not login today, but the sirius player works fine, other than the fact that it logs me off if I'm not paying attention to it.
I've looked on other forums and other people are having the same problem with the widget today, "login error, check user name and password". Anyone here having problems? |

yea it was working fine til about 10. I always tune in and record Fangoria Radio and it said Login error". I know it was working until after 8, because I was working and had Ferrel on...I left my desk and went to double check the channel at 10, and it wasn't working. I rebooted, loaded new Widget engine on desk top and Lap top...
I ended up hooking my radio up to record Fango Radio. They better fix it by Monday so I can record Howard! |

well, if you log in to the sirius player on the sirius site they now have one of those distorted images with random letters you have to enter "to verify". The widget doesn't give you that option....soo, it's going to sat invalid log-in. The Firefoox tool bar plug-in gives you the actual Sirius page to log-in, so it's the same as the sirius palyer...which times out. Is there a way to prevent the time outs?
How the Hell am I going to record Howard while at work now?!?!?!? |

Once I did the new update for widget, all 5 of my widgets quit login into sirius.
All info was verified, listen with my login info thru sirius online deal
Need this fixed asap ;( |

The yahoo widget would stay running for me for day, where the Sirius Player and the Firefox plug-in time out after a certain time. I literally would have it running weeks at a time. I found a free recorder with scheduler that records any sounds played on your computer. So I used it to record Howard's show while at work, because they block streaming media at work, and I can get no reception. IF the other players time out, the only option fo rme is to get another radio to leave at home and one in my car...or buy a stiletto and leave it in my car until noon everyday to record. |

Nope, the old version stopped working, so I updated to the newer version, and it still wouldn't work.
Frankly the timeout thingy on the regular Sirius player is bullshit, they really need to eliminate that. I shouldn't have to stand by my computer all the time when I'm listening. |

They have had that for a long time and the widget has somehow handled it in the past. I always wondered how the widget bypassed that.

Do a search on total recorder or replay radio.
I use replay radio, which I had to pay for. You must leave the sirius stream playing on the computer, but you schedule ahead of time when you want it to record the show. And it will save it to a file as an mp3, then transfer it to ipod. |

I use this simple recorder I found out about (from SFN) it's old but simple, free and has a scheduler. So I just have the player on, (or before they streamed I plugged the radio output into the soundboards input). It basically records any sound playing on your computer. 'm at work and leave my comp on and let it go....then the next day take it to work on my ipod.

My widget and sirius.com both stopped working about five days ago.
I downloaded an updated version of the widget from versiontracker.com and it seems to work OK.
I'm on a Mac- not sure what you're listening on, but you may just need to update yer widget. |

Seems like Sirius has changed something with their streaming. It use to be that if you had your popup blocker you could avoid the annoying "Are you listening" messages that would knock you off every 90 minutes. Yesterday they pulled something new out on me that the old trick doesn't work. anyone else having this new problem and found a solution?
I am hooked on the Stern. Thinking I'm needed some program for my problem I listed so much. It has gotten so bad that I have to capture the show mp3 so that I can make sure I dont' miss a single minute of the week, including wrap-up shows. I'm in a panic for tomorrow, since this new time out has shown up. Help anyone? |

this sucks now without the widget. I used to stream and record it to my mp3 player. NO MAS, not thats only good for about 60 minutes.
anyone out there know a work arround to get continuous streaming? |

is the widget everyone is talking about just the on-line listening option straight from the Sirius website or is it something different that I just haven't looked into. I just didn't have any problems with coming straight from the website as long as I didn't allow any popups from the site. Now that doesn't seen to matter. I'm in a panic. With the Artie, Sal, and Richard blowup last week. I'm heart-broken knowing that there really isn't any way that I wont miss something. Sometimes I'm 3 or 4 days behind on my listening, but I always get the content in. I'm telling you, I definately have a problem with my "Stern" and should be posting in the Stern addiction support group website. Someone please help me out?
Is the widget reference a little above on this tread a valid option and safe???

Stream-On is completely safe. It does not ask if you are still listening. I have been using it for a while now and I love it. The is a 18 page thread about it over on siriusbackstage forums if anyone wants more info on it.

I spent a lot of time on the phone talking to Sirius tech support guys about this today. I'm pissed about the fact that I choose to listen with the widget but Sirius keeps messing with the stream in ways that break the widget. I'm convinced that they read the same posts that we do when there is a workaround and then make another change to defeat the workaround.
After all, we paid for our subscriptions and now we have to constantly fight to use them. Guys like Tanner end up doing a lot of work just to have it fall over as soon as Sirius sees that the widget is working.
My suggestion is that everybody call and email several times a day to complain. If you can't get through on the phone, send more emails complaining about not being able to get through.
This is a bad company to do business with. This is a monopolistic practice. If widget writers somehow made a living creating players, this kind of stuff would drive them out of business. Not because their work is bad, because Sirius keeps breaking it from the upstream side. Sounds a like like Microsoft, doesn't it? |

I'm getting errors the the widget and Stream on. The widget was down yesterday so I tried Stream on, it worked until I rebooted my computer today and now neither work...
On Stream On I get "Media Changing...Error..." over and over.
on Widget 2.2.0 I get "Opening Meida....Media Changing...Connecting..." over and over. |
