How many of you in apartments have sirius and how do you have it set up to get the best, most reliable signal?

Sirius internet radio and Stiletto wifi are your best friend.

the mini magnet antenna attached to my window frame seems to work fine.

I use a magnet antenna outside my window. My landlord gave me permission. He's a nice guy and you can hardly see it.

I think my landlord listens to my signal because he knew I had Sirius without my telling him. He didn't have any issues - he just asked "Howard?" :)

Yeah, I had the small magnet antenna on my windowsill and ended up getting the regular antenna that came from the home kit and that helped alot. But I was wondering if position in the building itself mattered like facing east or west or shit that like could help out any.

I am on the west coast and have my radio near sliding glass door on the second floor apt and have my antenna on a table facing east and it works fine---of course the sliding door(remember second floor) is left open a crack to allow wire from radio to outside....if I have to I can just put antenna in the house and lock the door.......find out from Sirius site and map and which direction your antenna should be pointing........Good Luck

I just use the internet. Why buy an expensive radio when you don't have to? If I did not live in nyc and had a car that I used frequently, I might get a car unit, but otherwise online works.

Plus, I don't trust the satellite signal to not give me cancer

If they will allow you (see below), get the SIRIUS CATV Cable Distribution Kit...

http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-cat...ion-p-4081.html

all you do is mount the outdoor antenna outside towards the Sirius signal (find the cable TV junction that enters your pad, (outside), and use the indoor (inside your pad) and outdoor splitters...

No eyesore (it's a foot tall), and quite easy to do; 100% signal...

If you have your own dish (on your balcony), even easier:

Mount the antenna to the dish...Again, 100% signal, ALWAYS!

I just use the antenna that came with the Tivoli table radio model and it is fine. I am on the first floor of an apt--stuck the wire out the window with the stand up part hanging down. No one bothers it and it works fine, except if I am operating a Microwave (rarely) nearby.

I'm on the first floor; all I can see it the buildings next to me. granted some of my neighbors upstairs have interesting windows, but an antenna can't see the horizon so I'm stuck with the signal from the terrestrial repeaters.

I solely use the internets, i can't get the signal at work. When Howard was on regular radio it was great at work (graveyard) because at 3:00 am you could look around the building and see lots of laughter going on. I think we all listened to Howard to get through the last half of the shift
