Bubba was the best thing in the bit, aside from Artie's "You stole the Camel Clutch from my Father, and for this you must Die!" line.

Having someone with inside knowledge about wrestling bust the IS's balls turned the bit into radio gold, brother.

I agree, I thought the via sattelite stuff was cool but face to face was much better. Also when Bubba sarcasticly complimented him on the size of the venues he was playing he seriously thanked him!(Im not sure but I think he plugged a signing at a comic book store?)
Bubba's_dumb
Wrong Bubba screwed the whole thing up. Bubba is such a mark for Hogan he took everything the Sheik was saying as the truth. Bubba needs to learn how to make a good bit.

Bubba was on the right track douch lips!!!!His problem was he couldn't take down the prick cause of the big boss!!
BVB
Richard, Sal and Artie did some stuff that should be funny to watch on TV then Bubba stepped in and did some great radio.

Sidenote: Seemed to me that Artie and Bubba threw the anal ring toss so they could give the money to Sheik.

I agree....can't wait for it on HTV!!!!

Bubba buried that bit. Trying to humiliate when he should have been trying to instigate. Save that shit for Tampa.

I really did not give a shit about the Iron Sheek until I heard Bubba yelling at him, Making him humble.......

I myself didn't have a problem with it. Bubba came in a defended his friends reputation and we all should follow his lead! I would slap a mother fucker talking shit about one of my friends.
shit talkers dont understand that each individual does "cut his on deal in life", so based on that be prepared to face whatever comes your way if you're talking shit on anyone! I do however think the Shek handled it all really well on his end.. Jobber! :kaboom:

Bubba got sheik real fired up. He knew exactly what to say to get him worked over. Funny shit.

Bubba was the one man in the room that knew anything about the subject matter, and he went to town - he stood up for his friend - whether you like it or not one of the rules of manhood is that when confronted by someone calling a friend a "fag" or any other false pejorative term you stand up and tell the truth to the best of your knowledge. That's what Bubba did. Notice how quick the IS shut his mouth? Character and a work is fine, but calling somebody a "fag" is a little too much to go along with.

Calling the IS out on his "Olympic" gold medal was needed too, and I'm willing to bet that the IS was never one of the Shah's bodyguard's either. The IS was a great character in wrestling, but that doesn't give him the right to flat-out lie about things to pump himself up - outside the wrestling arena

bubba sucked. i could not stand him attacking the sheik. what was the point? just not funny at all.
Da Truth
I'm not particularly a Bubba fan (I saw this thread in Active Topics) but I've found myself defending Bubba heavily over the last few days on this subject.........

His conflict with the Sheik was the only REAL argument during the whole segment -- that's not to say Artie, Sal & Richard weren't funny..... but realism is always more interesting and funny, especially on The Show.

Said it before and I'll probably say it again: Kudos to Bubba for his role in the Iron Sheik segment. :bigclap:

I'm a big Bubba fan & love the show. Big Howard fan too - of course he's why i bought Sirius.

My favorite lines were from the Shiek though.

When Bubba said he wrestled aau at 225 lb back in the day & Shiek said "Well What The Fuck, YOUR FAT NOW" :p

Then when he was encouraging Bubba during the ring toss, after bubba missed he said "Damn it Bubba, you big mouth fat son of a bitch - Do it if you can" :D

They were the hidden gems to me!

And for all the haters, learn how to work Kid! If you notice Howard set it up by saying "I know were all gona play anal ring toss and have some fun, but Bubba do you take offense to anythign the Shiek has been saying". So to me it's clear Howard wanted Bubba to come in and get stiff with the Shiek.

Howard, YOUR A CHEAP JEW SON OF A BITCH :)
You didnt even get him a cold beer - what the fuck!

It was clear they didnt want to give him a beer - WHY??
BUBBAFAN1223
that bit is even better on Howard tv..... Bubba did great and so did Richard, Sal, and Artie.....
The best line was from Richard when he was being the Ultimate Warrior. What gives you the right to call me a fag, i have never seen or touched another mans cock....
DirtyStickyDave
i thought bubble was hilarious, great tension

Howard didn't even make him cry.

Is the Sheik really joining the gang for the comedy tour? It was on Howard news.

hey guys, Bubba keeps talking shit about wrestling and he did a show a couple of months ago. Although that whole time he was promoting that show in Memphis, he kept saying that "wow, it's a tough business man". Well what is it tough or just fake shit like he says it is. I know it's fake, but it is a tough business. But the way bubba says it, just does'nt make sense.
stumpy67
I just watched in on HTV. Bubba looked kinda goofy in those boots. I thought the segment was pretty funny though. Plus, I finally got to see how the chick inserted the stick. :D
