Bubba’s Bamboozlefest
starring NED
August 31st @ Off The Hook Comedy Club
It's official people and tickets have already gone on sale. Bubba and the entire crew will be doing a test comedy show in Marco Island Florida at Off the Hoock Comedy Club. If this one goes well, they are talking about taking it on the road. The show is August 31st at 10pm. Tickets are limited and cost $50.00 each. (the place seats 250) it's a chance to see the boys in a small venue.

I think the gathering title tied together with the lead act pretty much says it all though. I remember a few weeks or so ago when Bubba and Brent came up with the title. I had to smile.

What's with the $50 a copy? I can see a great comedy show in Boston for way less than that. Even the killers of comedy, the Chicago show, the high price tix are only $30. Last week they were crying about the $25 tix for Brent's fight, now they're greasin' the fans for an unproven comedy show?

This bamboozlefest is a risky move when it comes to protecting Ned's identity. People have seen so many photos of the guy who plays Ned (Manson's father in law or whoever it is). If Manson goes out there in heavy makeup, people are bound to be able to tell that he isn't the same person from all the Ned photos. He would have to be wearing a sweatshirt with a hood or something, or find a way to stand extremely far away from the crowd.
If they use the actor to play him on stage, how are they going to have him lip sync while Manson speaks, without it looking completely fake?
I don't know how they're going to pull this off with just smoke and mirrors, unless of course Ned is a shoot afterall.... |

I'm not the first to say this, but I view Ned the way I viewed Santa Clause when I was a little kid. Deep down I knew he wasn't real, but I wanted so badly to find proof that he was.

Couldn't someone in the Tampa area just head down to the studio around 6:45 PM and check if Ned actually leaves the studio? That would end this subject once and for all.
It's pretty obvious Manson's doing that voice and the calls and the songs, and someone close to the show is the actual, physical Ned. (Probably not that guy's actual name, but I believe this character was based on someone real). Bamboozle fest will consist of actual Ned doing bits and songs Milli Vanilli style. Anyone paying $50 a copy for that garbage is as dumb as anyone paying for the Bubba merch or signing up for Bubba Raw.
It's a good show, but it can get really gimmicky sometimes... |

right! the lip syncing would have to be spot on perfect, otherwise those in the front would be able to tell. lip syncing also does not allow for any crowd interaction. dont think too much about it and just enjoy the show. |
