America is colorless- that does not mean it is culture-less. There is a huge difference. Intrinsically, our denial of nationalism has caused our own demise-
America, the land of the free and the home of the brave? yes, but add to that-
1. We don't live longer than 41 other less wealthy countries (we're dieing faster now)
2. We have a broken political system wrought with corruption and voter ignorance
3. We don't have a balanced federal budget
4. We are a debtor nation
5. We don't a stable health care system
6. We don't have a quality education system
This list can go on and on and on. The cause is loss of nationalistic pride and determination. When people come here and cling to their traditions and love of mother countries, there is no commitment to this one. By all means, come- the educated and skilled- are always welcome. We don't need any more uneducated immigrants- or those who are too ignorant to contribute to the furthering of this nation. |
