Here is the article, I wonder how Howard feels about this.

ABC News reports that four months after Don Imus' derogatory comments about the Rutgers' women's basketball he's on the verge of a comeback. And Imus' attorney concurred, saying that his client is being courted by major media outlets.

Imus’ favorite singing cowboy, Kinky Friedman, says the shock jock's comeback could come as early as January. "He's told me that he's definitely coming back," Friedman said. "He's very much like Jesus. He's coming back and boy is he PO'd."

Imus could possibly be headed to Sirius Satellite Radio to work for his former boss, Mel Karmazin, who recently told the Fox News Channel he'd hire him. "The fact that he had been fired wouldn't stop me from having Don work for me again," he said. "He makes you a lot of money."

I doubt Howard would be happy. Aside from Imus ripping him off for years, Howard and Robin documented in detail how much of a true racist that Imus is after he was canned.

I saw Mel's interview with Neil Cavuto. Mel wasn't saying that he is going to make Imus an offer, he was just saying that he would give the guy a second chance because he does bring in money (albeit a fairly small amount). Cavuto had noted Mel's career in terrestrial radio and Mel was speaking in that arena as I remember it. I doubt Mel would make Imus an offer - Imus and his ego would demand a king's ransom and it wouldn't pay off in the end in my opinion. He is not the draw he might have been 25 years ago.
