I've listened to the show from the beginning and I've listened to it when Joey ran it and I must say I prefer Mutt running the show and I really don't mean that as a dig against Joey. I prefer Mutt doing the SuperFanRoundtable he makes the show for me.

i dont agree that mutt is the superfan roundtable...mutt is the man but, Howard is the main topic. Not mutt....and mutt has never tried to be anything but a humble host.

MUTT is the ultimate SuperFan.... He has proved it in many many ways and does a great job on the show.

His objectivity and being able to stand back and observe and let people speak while not making the show all about him is his strong suit.

I dig Mutt as the host. Besides... at the end of the day, Howard says Mutt is the host, so Mutt is the host. Period. End of sentence. End of story.

True Dat!! :D

From what I understood, Howard appointed Mutt as the "man" of SFRT. If that's the case, what Mutt says, goes. I don't think Mutt does a bad job, but I must agree with Joey on one point; Mutt definitely asks some rather unusual questions. Questions, I don't believe to be very pertinent to the Stern Show. Just because the question involves someone or something from the Stern Show, it doesn't make it a 'relevant. The show is much too short for such questions.

I believe the real problem with the SFRT is the length. A one hour show isn't nearly long enough to cover the weeks event's. Heck, one hour of The Wrap-Up Show is hardly enough to cover one days events. So, how's one hour going to be sufficient time to cover an entire week? It's not. I've never payed close attention, but I'd guess there is at least 15-20 minutes of commercials during that one hour. Meaning, Mutt is forced to cram a weeks worth of shows into 40 minutes or so.

I believe the SFRT needs to be extended to a two hour show. This will allow for a much better flow. As of now, SFRT is almost hard to listen to. Everything is so damn rushed. The panel emebers hardly have enough time to answer a question or make a comment without Mutt cutting them off. Again, not exactly Mutt's fault. Without an ample amount of time, what else can he do?

In my opinion, a better question and/or topic selection would be a good start, but that's just my opinion. Whatever happens, I hope everyone finds a happy median. I could listen to Stern related show's 24/7. I'd really hate to see any of them come to an end.

jesus christ...................... is this subject not dead yet???

thanks guys and I appreciate you saying something nice abou me without shitting on Boots.

TripleDig - alot of the topics come directly from the show. they are usually something that Howard & crew talked about that had to do with the show or someone on it. we take it and expand on it. I find it fun to pick up their conversation where they left off.

Take for example the what if Sal died question, that was lifted directly from the stern show. they only touched on it but when I told Howard we were doing that topic, they went right back to it and had a whole discussion. byt the time we were done, I actually expanded that topic based on the days conversation.

besides, some weeks it's damn hard to come up with any topics. we've done close to 100 shows and we've already over analized everything to death. sometimes I have to really dig to come up with a new angle on a topic which I think will be interesting to the listeners & the guests will have varied responses to.

thanks for the input, jackhole. I'm sure you'd be a great radio host.
ArtieTookMyJob!
Mutt is the MAN. Two show suggestions:

1. Every so often, invite a staff member outside the Big Five to sit in on the show and offer their opinions. Might be more interesting than the 4th panelist which inevitably gets lost in the discussion.

2. Invite Captain Janks. He's gotten lost in the shuffle as of late.

boots would not be a good host......he is too fake and probably not gay....however mutt could let someone with a radio voice host the show.

im sorry, but right now, joey's as much of a tuneout factor as ETM was. Him leaving the SFRT isnt gonna make much of a difference, variety is the spice of life. personally, i find people who cant or dont even try to help their own situation and ask for handouts from everybody, i just find that wrong. this isnt a knock, its just how i feel and i think the SFRT would be better off without him
Modane
Mutt is the host.
Joey is just a guest.
Thank you.

Mutt u do a great job on SFRT and on here, kudos

We all love Boots (in that non-faggot way) and I'm confused as to why he would cut his nose off to spite his face. He was asked to do more for the show previously, ie add to the content/preperations which would have added credibility to his presence on Roundtable. Now, that he was asked to do the show every other week he says he doesn't want any part of it??? If he was just a little more patient, I'm sure he would have been at least restored to his weekly spot and possibly to a paid position. Joey B., I nkow a year and a half seems like forever but really it's just a drop in the bucket...Remember, the legacy of Stern did not happen in just a year or two and Sirius is a relatively space for the show. Whose to say where the show(s) are going? In addition, we all know that Mutt supports Joey's precense on the show...
BARNZsongwriter
Just heard Joey on the news reviewing the SFRT this week and it just confirms for me that the right decision was made to limit him to every other week on SFRT. I'd rather have no one there than to have Joey there every week.

JOEY IS GREAT, BUT OTHER THAN JOHN HEIN , MUTT SHOULD BE THE HOST. PERIOD. JOEY IS A STELLAR FREQUENT GUEST. HE BEATS HIGH PITCH WHO HAS NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT OR KING OF ALL BLACKS WHO NEVER SHOWS UP.
TruckdriverRick
as someone who likes both Mutt and Joey..all I can say is that Joey does add something to the show..hopefully they can work out their issues and get back to working together..but if they cant..Howard has said Mutt is the host..and thats that
