I support getting Mingmen out of time out, however I don't see how a petition will help, however well-intentioned. I don't want my name added because whether you feel the rule in question to be a bit ambiguous or not, the rules are clear about attacking VIPs/moderators.
Simply put - Mingmen stepped out of line by attacking Joey Boots. From reading the thread that got him where he is now, it wasn't pulling up an old post that got him into time out but his reaction when he was questioned for it.
Mingmen should apologize for overreacting. That being said, I think Ass Boil brought up a fair point in asking what constitutes "an old post." If the guidelines were a bit more specific, perhaps this wouldn't have happened. Nevertheless, Mingmen should apologize for going off and humbly ask that the rule be clarified so that he does not trangress the rules in the future. Sound fair? |
