I originally bought my Starmate Replay in December 2005. It finally died yesterday.

I went to buy a new radio and they no longer have Replay units. Just the regular Sportster3 and Starmate3. WHAT THE HELL?

Also, why in the hell is 87.9 no longer available as a FM Transmitter station? That is the only one that worked all the time all over Florida for me.

The FM transmitter on this unit blows. I used to be able to plug in my radio in the garage, then pick up the signal throughout my house on any stereo by tuning to 87.9. With this Sportster3 that doesn't work because the transmitter is so weak I get almost nothing but static.

The Starmate Replays got discontinued. Not that there was anything wrong with them, it's just how things are. People want new stuff. Cell-Phones, iPods, TVs are no different.

The 87.9 not being accessible is because of the FCC. It was never supposed to be on their in the first place, nor should the FM Transmitters should have been as strong as they were. XM and SIRIUS were able to get away with it for a bit before the FCC cracked down.

Every new SIRIUS radio will have the weaker FCC regulated FM Transmitter from last year on.
