- I've heard some fans claim that Howard will sometimes push a visual segment that's not good radio for the sake of Howard TV. Do you ever feel this way? What bits do you feel Howard would not have done before he had a TV show? Does the TV show hurt the radio show?

it's nice when the call isn't a bitchfest but are the I love you, Howard TV, Sirius, etc ass kissing calls just as bad?

do they do the customer justice or do they just sound forced?

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

it's what I started calling the 1 strong, opinionated show related guest that I feel is needed for every panel. joey was our anchor for a very long time. if you were on, you'd be the anchor. if everyone else is dying, I can always go to the anchor for a comment.

Here's what you need to talk about. Period.
How is that Ralph remains entrenched in the Stern Family when he continually bad mouths everyone including the show, when he steals from his friends - whether it's at mutliple poker games or forgetting to pay back loaned money? What does he have on Howard the that keeps Howard from cutting that cord? |

| i'd like to see how the other stern related shows influence full blown discussions on howards show. just recently we've had the artie/teddy debate last week and ralph's call today , both on the wrap up show. ralph's appearance on sfrt last thurs., sal on miz men as well as florentine's comments about robin and so forth. these shows produce great material . |

HOWARD's attitudes towards Sal (and Richard)
Does Howard think of Sal and Richard as semi-wackpackers? I think all agree he definitely would've invited Stutterin' John to his wedding if John hadn't left the show. It's clear that Howard has no intention of ever allowing himself to have anything close to a personal relationship like he did with John. It's clearly not because Howard has a policy of not befriending former fans, because guys like Ralph, Richie Notar, now Jon Hein and probably some others were initially fans and now count themselves amongst Howard's closest friends. What exactly about Sal and Richard makes Howard put them in a different class? |

yeah... i don't think howard is being fair about this... in fact, he's being a bit of a douche. we all had to hear about his prothetitus or whatever it was... Robin left the show early to race which is a hobby... artie has taken off because he was on heroin.. scott said that he tried to schedule it during the breaks, but it didn't work out... howard shut up and don't make the poor guy feel bad about it... i'm sure the surgery is painful enough :rolleyes: |

I am listening to the replay today and Howard slipped and said "John Hein with the Superfan Round... oops the Wrap-up Show" So here is #1
1. Is there anything behind Howard's verbal slip? Is this an insult or compliment to Mutt and the SFR?
2. Make HPE the Anchor
3. Ralph losing his grip on Howard to Beth, Artie, John Hein et al. and looking for a new free ride (Simon, Stamos...)
4. If they're willing to share, let's find out something about the new Superfans on the show.
Love the show. Keep up the good work. I'm always in mid-town I may sign up for an open date later this year.
**I agree with LessMoonbeams. The normal pace and energy of SFR is best. Last week you were shot out of a cannon. Your were talking so fast and your voice was so high I almost didn't realize it was you when I tuned into the show. |

I think you should talk how "the show" has become talkiing about things that happen on the wrap up show or superfan round table etc. shouldn't it be the other way around?

A bit of a stretch, and maybe needs to be produced a little better.... but its just an idea.

Thursday is Rosh Hashanah, so it's unlikely there will be a live show.
Unless they come in Friday, it's a three-day week for the Stern crew this week. |

Howard said he probably wouldn't take off for Rosh Hashanna but you may be right. Dial-a-date is set for Wednesday and something like that would normally be thursday. |

This Jewish holiday fell on a weekend last year, so we don't have a basis for comparison.

| I would love to be on this show! I put my Stern credentials against ANYONE! I started listening when he was on WNBC, I was an extra in his movie(2 scenes), I almost dated Judith Regan, I was at the last K-ROCK show, and I'm a great guy(Well, that's arguable). I think you would be EXTREMELY HAPPY if I was on the show Mutt!......"Somebody in America, please give me a chance!" |
