Is it just me, or is Brad Daugherty a complete idiot. If you're not sure who he is, he's the black guy that's usually on ESPN's Countdown Pre-Race Show.
I understand Nascar's reasoning behind having blacks and women involved in the coverage of the races, but couldn't they find someone who's a bit more knowledgable about racing? I guess if you've got the money to co-own a Craftsman Truck Team, it automatically makes you smart enough to host ESPN Countdown. IMHO, they should move him to some sort of basketball covergae, something he knows about.
Watching him pretend to know something about racing is downright painful. Even more painful is, watching the other guys set him straight when he lets ignorant shit spew from his lips. |

It's you. Brad is no less knowledgeable than the other TV talking heads on espn.
Rusty Wallace on the other hand, sounds like a complete idiot and he has no excuse for it.
He's been racing since the late 70's and even won a championship, but he talks out his ass big time every time he's on TV. |

Must I need to explain his knowledge again. The guy knows what he's talking about. He's built cars, he started a Truck team as well as a Busch team.
His point there isn't to spout off like a know it all, that's Rusty's job. Brad is there to ask questions in a sense that a novice fan would ask questions. |

| Brad is from my neck of the woods, that said... I hated him as a player at UNC (Diehad Tarheel here) and always thought he was soft. I can say that EVERY Friday night during the Summers when I was growing up he was at Asheville Motor Speedway (R.I.P) working the pits for the Pressleys,Ingrams,Houstons,Ellis's and so forth. I hated him as a hoops player, but the guy knows racing. |
