Must win game today against the Bengals.

They are starting slow like usual.
Ronster
Deion Branch just burned the Cincy defense for a TD. Seattle up 14-10. :)
Ronster
Hawks won, but once again looked so so today. They need to get the offense clicking.

hate the cryhawks, their pussy headcoach, and their pussy fans.......but thanks for making winning the AFC north that much easier. :)

Stealer fans tend to be tough-guy poseurs, like this jackass, who can't quit slagging the seahawks because they secretly know that the SuperBowl was a farce and the title, hollow.
The biggest puss fans reside in Pittsburg...I love how these dicks, who probably work at a florist shop, show up in construction helmets. Phonies.
Dutch44
They definitely have to start the game better and stop dropping so many passes. That win today was to close for me.

no "florist shop"...i'm an architect, so i suppose the "constuction helmet" thing is true, but just not at games.

we've seen more than our share of bad calls historically in the playoffs.....but your fans are grade-A whiners.
the title is far from hollow. aside from the silly call on your Qb (and whether that call was made or not, you gave up a trick play that would have worked from anywhere), the refs were fine. you can argue if you want, i'm more than willing to debate each call and i will win. that said, after all "controversial calls" were said and done, you had almost 12 minutes in the 4th (with the league's mvp and the supposed best offense) to erase a mere 11 point lead.

your team choked. your offense stunk, and your defense couldn't get our offense off the field. we ran at will and controlled the clock to a victory.

your coach was a bitch. i understand being upset at some of the calls, but he took it way to far. he defines the terms "pussy" and "poor-sport". cryhawks forever.

before that superbowl, you used to be a cartoonish team nobody outside of your area ever gave a shit about........you're still that team.
Mynd4life
I'm DIE HARD Hawks fan but we are the luckiest 2-1 team maybe ever. We by all accounts should be 0-3 and were a couple of plays from being 3-0 despite playing like garbage in every single game. Should this team put it all together and remain healthy the rest of the NFC is in for some serious beatdowns come playoff time. Need to see this re-tooled D really gel and be the unit they are expected to be.

Well probably after the Broncos. And they're my other favorite team.

I'm just baffled that a horrible Browns team racked up 55 points and we were able to put up 34 on an injury depleted bengals defense.

We need to get the running game back in order. At this point we're pretty one dimensional.

This team has a lot of potential. I'm tired of 4th quarter heroics as is my heart. Last minute TD's and FGs can go only so far.

i agree. i hate to say it, but i don't have much faith in Alexander anymore. he's just too injury prone and looks hesitant hitting the holes. we need to look at drafting a rb next year in the college draft. Mcfadden from Arkansas would be great, but probably not a possibility unless we really suck this year or trade up.

anyway go Hawks!
Mynd4life
He still rushed for 100 yards and had a couple of big runs BUT he starts way too slow and sluggish too often now and that needs to stop as it digs us a hole that we may not be able to dig out of every time

yeah once again he got the majority of it in the 2nd half.

i'm beginning to think that's his game plan. he takes it easy in the first half and then he has fresh legs against a worn down defense in the 2nd half.
Ronster
He will be much better once he gets that cast off his wrist. That's holding him back. But he does need to stay healthy and that worries me with his age. Running backs can have a pretty short career so they do need to start thinking about the future.
Dutch44
I think his wrist is whats making him so hesitant in the first half.

you forgot to mention the obvious bad calls against Seattle by the refs. take those away and the couple lucky plays by the Steelers and Seattle would have won.
but don't worry...we will be back.

when?? face it last year you only advanced in the playoffs cuz butterfingers muffed the snap..lucky plays?? oh you mean the one where none of your players could tackle willie parker..and the other one where hines was so wide open even hasselback couldnt miss him..those "lucky" plays..if you guys dont win it all this year ho-humgren will be packing it in and splitting almost as fast as your NBA team is trying to do..and as fast as the mariners dropped out of the pennant race :p
Supergroomer
It seems that the seahawks would never lose a game if it was't for all the bad calls that seem to go agianst them. Seahawk fans need to stop blaming everyone else and accept the fact that your overrated.

You don't even have an NBA team so I would shut up about things you know nothing about.

The M's are in a rebuilding stage of sorts and are woefully short on good starting pitching.
The bull pen got overworked and yeah we couldn't sustain it. How long did the Pirates give you an exciting season? One month?

As far as lucky plays D Jackson's TD was called not a TD. Remember that? The lucky fortunate position of being at your 1 yard line when Locklear was called for a mysterious holding penalty to negate all those yards. Oh I forgot, one of the zebras was from Pittsburgh.

Everyone knows it was a poorly officiated game and the missed calls were overwhelmingly in your favor!!!
Ronster
Damn...it was just announced that Shaun Alexander now has a broken wrist. He wil keep playing, but that cast won't be coming off any time soon. :(

Don't remind me of that game. :(

Usually bad calls by refs go both ways, but it was so obvious that the refs were favoring the Steelers in that game.

umm I know the Knicks suck but they do still classify as an NBA team..oh so now your conspiracy theory is one of the refs did it..tell me which ref tripped every seahawk player when willie ran through you guys like you werent there..and which ref..threw the bodyblock that knocked down the guy who was suppossed to be covering hines..face it..and why would I care about the pirates..dude I am from NY and have been a life-long Yanks fan since 1973

Bring on the 49ers.

We've been waiting to avenge for our lackluster showings a year ago. San Fran will pay!! Plus I don't wanna hear any gloating from that loser arealviking.

Go Hawks!!

Should be a good game tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.
Reed Rothchild
Not to jump ahead too far, but anyone here going to the Saints or 49er's games at The Hawk (I refuse to call it Qwest) later this year? My bro managed to get tix way up high in the the 10 mins they were on sale this year.
Rammstein Musik
the Seahawks better get off to a better start than they have been or else it's going to be an uphill battle the whole game. it will be tough winning down there though. should be a good game...i hope.

It won't be that tough from a home field standpoint. Until the 40 Whiners pull off a 8 game win streak, Candlestink won't be a factor. It was only a hard place to play when Montana, Rice, Young, Craig and others were on the field, and had nothing to do with the Wine and Cheese crowd in the stands.
Ronster
Seahawks defense looking tough so far. But it is against Dilfer. :p

Their O line keeps playing like it is we will be going against Shaun Hill soon.
Reed Rothchild
There we are. Step on their throat.
Ronster
That was too easy. Keep it up and we can turn it into a blowout.
Ronster
Drive was looking good and then it fell apart. At least we got a field goal out of it. 13-0
Ronster
Damn we almost got a gift fumble.
Rammstein Musik
so far so good. hawks defense is playing like studs today. lets keep it up in the 2nd half.
Ronster
They need to take it easy on Dilfer though. We don't want to see him leaving the game. :p
Ronster
Onside kick...those sneaky bastards.
Ronster
What was I saying about Dilfer. :p
Reed Rothchild
That was a great sequence, this has been their M.O. all day long, one good move followed by 2 bad ones. Nice that we got a TD out of it.
Ronster

Yeah I agree. We end up always kicking too many field goals.
Ronster
We'll give them 3. Now no more interceptions Hasselbeck.
Ronster
The announcers are right...Seattle sucks at 3rd and short.
Reed Rothchild
They're too predictable; run Alexander, and he hits those holes, stops to look around and gets dropped for a loss.
Reed Rothchild
They need to work on the red zone/short yardage offense this week.
Ronster
Quote: Originally posted by Reed Rothchild

Yes they do. They should be winning by a larger margin than they are.
Reed Rothchild
I think Darrell Jackson took a Scott the Engineer type black cloud with him; SF has had quite a few drops today.
Ronster
That's funny. :D

Yeah I don't miss all of his drops.

nice road win for Seattle. The offense still looked a little shaky at times but the defense very solid.

The division is over and the Hawks essentially won it today. Now lets go on to the Burgh and pound those over rated assclowns and get a small measure of revenge for the Super Bowl they and their hand picked officials took from us.

Well it's a bit early to say we have already won the West, but it's looking good.
Yes, the revenge road trip continues. First we had to get a little back from SF for the two losses last year and now next week against the STEELers. Hopefully this game will have impartial officiating.

just when you want the Steelers to win... what do they do...lose to the Cardinals. well at least they will be used to losing to another nfc west team next sunday.
the schedule is looking pretty good after that. i never thought i would be saying this...but Cleveland looks like it might be our toughest remaining game left. all the rest should be wins. :)

There aren't any really killer teams left on the schedule, but I'm not so sure about 14-2 or 13-3 again.

I remember looking at the schedule at the beginning of the year and only had like 3 locks for wins.

Now, I look at the remaining schedule.. Wow.. I dont see any competition left (cept this weekend should be a goodie).

When single tickets went on sale we choose to go to the Bengals game. Was a blast. Since then I put a deposit on season tickets. I cant stand watching games at home any more. I have 2 HD tv's but listening to the shit announcers trash on my team every week is killing me. Brian Baldinger is the worst.
Ronster
Barring major injuries, I don't see us finishing any worse than 12-4. Which is a damn fine record for any team. Pittsburgh and Cleveland will be the toughest wins to get. The rest of the teams to play are pretty wimpy looking.

This season is looking good.
Ronster
Post in this thread if you're a true Seahawk fan. Haters always welcome also.

And no, we're not the best team in the NFL right now. We are top 5 though and getting better.
Ronster
The Seahawks played like :shit: today. :(
Rammstein Musik
it's pretty hard to win when you only have the ball for 5 minutes in the 2nd half. the offense looked out of sync the whole game. ugly game is all i can say.

I think this tonite jinxed the Seahawks with his stupid Seahawks are the best team in the NFL thread.
Right now we look like a pretty mediocre team. :(

Top 5? No way. Your team is 8th from Last place in the WHOLE NFL on offense and that was supposed to be their strength. They are 9th in the NFL in Defense.

Hard to make a case why you think they are top 5 material. Frankly, I don't see them in the top 10.

Here you go:

1. Pats
2. Steelers
3. Colts
4. Cowboys
5. Greenbay (or whomever else is 4-2)

You're quoting me from a post that was posted on October 2nd. Sure right now we're no where near being a top 5 team. Some key injuries have taken a toll on the offense. The offense is sputtering so unless they get that going they won't last long in the playoffs. That's if they even make the playoffs. There is a lot of season left to get going though.
jimbozzz
Gotcha. I know how the injuries can decimate a team. One thing the hawks always had going for them was the home field advantage. Not sure if they pump sound in but it's the loudest stadium in the league.

He got that contract and got soft (I think he was a little soft to begin with). Come to think of it, he does have a passing resemblance to Vin Baker. Also, we lost one All World O lineman to FA, and the other one is done.
