Okay, so if I get one of these home kit things, where do I put the antenna? I want to use my regular stereo.
As you can probably tell, I'm not too great with this stuff. Can anyone describe to me exactly what I'd have to do to get hooked up? |

Alright...uhmm I just want to know if I get one of those fifty dollar things that apparently come with an antenna.....
Do I just plug it into the regular stereo and somehow run a line to the antenna outside out of a window or something like that? |

| Also, is it possible to have an antenna inside the house or does it have to be outside? |

Most of the $50 Home Kits come with an
-Antenna, which you plug into the home cradle, And DEPENDING where you are it may need to be outside or near a window
-Cradle where the Receiver Plugs into
-Power Cord to power the Cradle
-Audio Cables that will connect the SIRIUS Radio, on the Cradle to your home Stereo with an Aux Cable, the Red and White audio cables.
Most people with the Antenna that comes with the home kit won't get perfect reception. They will need the antenna outside or will need an Outdoor Home Antenna for best reception.

thanks man
as far as 'won't get perfect reception' do you mean that it just goes in and out for a few seconds or that there are long periods where it won't work?
I will be in a two story house and relatively close to a window so that should work okay. If I were to buy an outdoor antenna, I would get that in addition to the home kit, right? |

| If you get a signal from a terrestrial repeater in your area, you may be able to leave it in the house. If you can get the atenna that comes with the home kit on the roof, you should be fine. I rarely lose reception and it's only for a few seconds when I change the channel. I mounted mine on the side of the house at the roofline. The wire comes in through a window and I sealed the window with weather stripping. |

Yes, the "won't get perfect reception" means that for periods of time could be seconds could be hours you won't pull in a satellite signal. You would have to buy the Outdoor Antenna in ADDITION to the Home Kit. |
