I was at the T/A in Ontario, CA on Sunday night/Monday and the CB was alive with all the cops patrolling the lot. I was at the east side one so I didn't see all the action but I sure heard it about it. The girls were talking about how bad it got all of the sudden with the foot patrol and cruisers in the lot.
I really don't blame Bubba but more the dumbass truckers calling in telling the tricks and secrets like a bunch of dumbfucks. Way to go you got to hear yourselves on the radio. |

About fucking time they started patrolling that damn place out there ... The caller slightly exaggerated the amount of truck parking available there ... between the TWO T/A's, there's roughly 1100 parking spots for trucks ... problem is, if you're going into the Los Angeles area via I-10, the Ontario T/A's are the last truck stops you're gonna see along the way ... L.A. is NOT truck-friendly as far as accommodations ... |

That part was not exaggerated ... many of them would be walking the lot during the daylight hours ... for the longest time, the police absolutely would NOT come onto that lot because it's private property (I know that from firsthand experience because I was a witness to a hit-and-run accident on the property -- driver ran over another parked truck and fled the scene, and police refused to come out to take a report) ... but that place is usually crawling with crack whores and people selling all kinds of shit ... |

The 'Good Ol' Days' of the twin T/A's were gone long long ago. I've never been one to worry much about the whores, but that place used to be the best if you were gonna be stuck for the weekend. Years ago they had a huge gravel parking lot in the back, it was Party Central. There was an endless supply of whores, dope, cook-outs and beer.
About once a month, I'd pull in late Friday afternoon, and wouldn't leave until Monday morning. We'd sit around drinkin' some beer, grillin' some steaks, and occasionally smoke a joint. For the most part, it was a pretty calm time. Every now and then someone would get a little rowdy, but nothing that couldn't be taken care of quickly.
One Saturday night someone found a driver who had overdosed, with the needle still in his arm. It wasn't 2 months later when they closed that gravel lot and started having police patrol.
It's been a handful of years since I had the pleasure of visiting the Twin T/A's, so I can't speak as to how it's been as of late, but the very last time I was there, it wasn;t much to speak about.
Unless you're looking for cocaine, meth, or whores, I can't see anyone WANTING to spend much time there. |

While i dont doubt the size of the bubba army, like i was saying earlier the police arent blind to this large of a prostitution & drug area.. im sure the show didnt help to maintain this quality lifestyle there but i cant imagine a few stories on the radio single handedly made the law want to crack down on the area |

In six years of driving, my logbook has NEVER received a DOT citation during a Level-1 inspection (full), Level-2 inspection (walk-around and paperwork), or Level-3 inspection (paperwork only) ... I do NOT break the hours of service rules just to get a load picked up or delivered on time ... if I can't do it legally, I will not do it at all -- period ... I run one log book, and I omit nothing (trips, fuel stops, breaks) ... I know how to do all that stuff, but it's not worth risking my CDL over ...
I'm not fond of the T/A East either ... a few years ago, I was training a dumbass at the time, and one of the peddlers strolled up to the truck trying to unload some stolen jewelry ... my trainee, in full idiot fashion, rolls the window down, and the guy climbs right up to the window ... I told my trainee to get him away from my truck, and the fool said that he was thinking of buying a watch from the guy ... I told him that if he wanted a watch that bad, that I'd take him to WalMart and buy him a $15 watch ... the dumbass eventually walked with him back toward the travel center and spent $150 on a stolen watch ...
Unless things have improved since the last time I was out there (July '06), the parking situation at T/A East is absolutely horrid ... that's why I always went to T/A West -- parking laid out MUCH better, IMO ... |

I thought that sounded awfully big since I just drove by susposeably the world's biggest truckstop west of Davenport Iowa, and it didn't look nearly that big. |

The T/A in Walcott, Iowa (aka The Iowa 80) IS the World's Largest Truckstop ... it can currently handle over 800 parked trucks (and looking to add more parking from what I've heard) ... I can't even begin to tell you all the stuff going on in that one location ... I just know that I can spend money quite easily there (not on whores, thankfully) ... they just recently expanded the place inside and remodeled about half of it ... when it comes to truck accessories, if you can't find it at Walcott, you will not find it anywhere -- period! |

The most fucked scene was at Gable's on 78 in PA, there was a mother having her 12yo daughter working the lot with her. She was arrested quickly. |

There is no T/A in Lebanon. It must have been the Pilot or Uncle Pete's? A couple months ago, they found a dead lot lizard at the Pilot. I live and occasionally frequent the truckstops in and around the Nashville area, but never see any decent looking whores. Most of them are obviously crak heads and/or retarded.
I was at the Pilot on Trinity Lane, last year, when a whore came up and offered to blow me for CHANGE. She started out at 5 bucks, but when I told he I didn't have cash, she offered to do it for change. It was pretty funny, but it was obvious that she was really retarded.
After talking to her for a few minutes, I sent her over to my buddies truck. He was pulled in (tractor first) the parking space, so I couldn't see what was going on. A few minutes later, she went walking by with money in her hand. His story was that he felt bad for her and gave her $5. I know he's the type to mess with the whores, so I don't know if he really gave her the money out of pitty or if she sucked him off. |

While the T/A in Walcott does have lots of parking There prices are 10 to 40 percent higher
Than most other places (especially since there remodel) and the food in there diner is nasty.

You obvioulsy have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
I have seen very few 'good lookin' lot lizards, but there are some out there. The good lookin' lot lizards tend to be the younger girls who just got hooked on the dope. Once they get hooked, it doesn't take long for their looks to take a turn for the worst. |

If I'm thinking where you're talking about, that's not a Petro by the Werner terminal ... it was a Williams, which later became a Pilot (via acquisition) ... trust me, they're still walking that area in broad daylight, and now a few of them look like they're wearing Werner shirts ... :D |

I got kicked out of that Pilot for working on my reefer that was broke. The security guard told me to move, i said give me a few minutes to put everything away. He said NOW. I jumped off the cat walk and said, what are you gonna do about it old man? He threatened to call the DOT, and email a picture of my truck to my company telling them what I did. I said go for it, let me know how that works out for you. I put everything away, never heard anything about it. My company would have given them the old "right right right, he wont be back there again". |
