| People often wonder why I am so adamant about things like the removal of things like habeas corpus and restoring the balance of power in the federal government.... the simple answer is that by the time that the situation gets bad enough to realize where we are, it is already too late to change the situation. If you don't believe me, you should read up on World War II a bit. Yeah, I know it is a bit cliche to use World War II as an example, but if you think about it, 11 million people weren't killed overnight, and it wasn't done by just a few people. There was mass complacency or outright support for it. Are we so much better than everyone else?... yeah, well that's what they thought too. |

Just heard about this the other day on Paul Harvey's "And now, the rest of the story..."
St Bartholomew's Day Massacre.
Apparently, Paul Revere was the son of a Hugeunot (Apollos Rivoire) who was able to escape in time, and who had told his son all about the persecution he had suffered and about the fate of those Hugeunots who had remained in France. |
