The New Christmas Present Plan - News dept, interns, office crew, & on air talent will all be part of a secret Santa
- Now Howard won't get everyone a gift & everyone won't get him one? Will people cheat and still get each other gifts?
- Do you have any advice as to how this could be handled better? Should they have different circles so the on air talent all exchanges with one another?
- They didn't set a dollar amount. How the hell will that work out?
- Should the show employees all get gifts from Sirius? From Howard TV? From Howard? Is this like Christmas Vacation when they took away the Christmas Bonus?
- Will the secret santa be better radio?
- Were people out of line last year when they complained about the gifts or not getting gifts? Who were the main culprits? Did they ruin it?
- Is it rude to complain about having to give gifts? Is it justified when faced with people complaining about not getting them?
- Both Robin and Fred think that Howard buying everyone lunch is "cheap."
- Jason saying he's still going to buy gifts for the people who work for him
- Is this chaos? What's the best solution? Secret Santa and everybody else STFU?

- Christine says she didn't had the emotional friend. she also says that Howard & crew came up with emotional friend. the way i remember it Sal said that's what she called him
- She wasn't admitting to anything. According to her she didn't do anything. Wouldn't even admit that the guy cried when she broke it off. was she honest?
- Would Sal's on air antics push any woman away? Are the songs clearly a joke or does she have a right to feel scorned?
- Am I the only one who'd cringe every time she'd be asked a serious question about cheating or every time Sal would get emotional and she'd laugh? What's your take on it? She said it was nervousness but that's not what I was hearing. She sounded liek she was having a great time and Sal sounded like his heart was being ripped out.
- Sal's not spending time with the family. He works 10-12 hrs a day during the week and then does shows nights & weekends.
- Are you surprised at the amount of personal details concerning their families that came out?
- Should Sal let her continue to talk to EF? What are the good & the bad?
- Sal started out accepting blame and being very emotional but ended as an asshole. Was he covering for acting like a fag earlier or is this how he really feels and couldn't keep up the sensitive thing any longer?
- Sal & Christine were paid $10,000 for the Keith Abalow appearance by the Heartbreak Kid. Does this take away from the appearance & what they had to say?

FORCED RADIO FOR HTV
- I've heard some fans claim that Howard will sometimes push a visual segment that's not good radio for the sake of Howard TV. Do you ever feel this way? What bits do you feel Howard would not have done before he had a TV show? Does the TV show hurt the radio show?

- Sarah Silverman had the genius idea of coming in to sniff Richard's balls & wound up talking Howard into doing it to. Best guest appearance ever?
- Sarah said that her dog's asshole is much cleaner that Richard's balls. not sure where to go with this
- After her 2 appearances this week, were you drawn to the Wednesday premier of the new season?
- People have been claiming that Howard has gotten too hoity-toity with his Hampton celeb weekends but this week he let a scam artist put spit on him & no stuck his face in Richard's bare crotch. Are you shocked that Hollywood Howie went through with it.
- Will this be the most watched Howard TV moment ever? With the barrage of HTV commercials, is it possible Howard only agreed to this to push the channel?

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

After hearing from Christine again... it has been a long time.... i feel bad for Sal.
Sal is obviously a nutcase, but christine DID marry the guy, and for better or worse she no longer loves him at all. Sal can't afford a divorce, and doesn't want to totally leave his kids.
The whole interview was pretty amazing and truthful. Howard and Dr. Keith really helped show how many couples out there are just plain FUCKED. |

HOWARD mentioned at the begining of the Sal/Christine/Abelow segment that it was brought to you by the film The Heartbreak Kid......i assume Abelow got compensated with plugs.....so did they put up money and did Christine get any.....if so how much.......$500-.......$1000........$5000?
It seems from what i can recall that anytime HOWARD says a segment is brought to you by a sponsor there is money involved.

When She said She never fantasized about being with this emotional friend or any other man for that matter that was so not honest and She lost credibility with me from that point on......She was very guarded and was not honest about Her true feelings and such which imo killed the marital repair effectiveness of the segment cuz i think Sal was actually laying it all out there honestly. |

yeah this morning when they were recapping things i was thinking the same thing. great topic but it might be over by thursday. I'm gonna build it as a topic anyway and if we get good stuff thursday maybe I'll drop it down to a rapid fire or this or that.

that's a game. a goofy stunt. no one cares about that.
when you bare your soul on a show that for its entire existence has touted honesty, this throws a wrench into it. for years and years howard said he dont pay for interviews. when you pay for an interview, especially a 10 grand pay day, you'll say anything to make it interesting.
do i believe christine and sal now? i really don't know. |

Was it confirmed that he got paid? Let's be honest, plugs on the Howard Stern show are worth more than money paid. Sponsors pay big bucks to get a 30 second spot, but they can get them for free if Howard just blurts it out on air. |
