No, my solution is not war.
There is no doubt about Iran and al Qaeda. Iran does not even deny having al Qaeda and refusing to turn them over. Iran is a safe haven for al Qaeda.
I'm not sure what the solution is besides getting away from them. Leave all Muslim Lands and isolate them as far as America is concerned.
You seem to suggest that we either have to attack them or, in your case, we have to deny reality. There are other options. |

When one is debating politics and what America should do in the world you have to deal with reality. You might have a perfect world view of what you would do if you were in charge, but that cannot blind you to reality. You have to deal with scenarios that are outside of that which you would want.
We are not going to do what I want. That will not happen. So, I deal with what is before me. If that creates a contradiction to you, then I cannot help that.
With the Constitution I can have an opinion that will prevail possibly. So, I can reject always what I do not like. I can have an opinion that is without contradiction.
My opinion of what the Democrats can do to end the war in Iraq, does not mean I believe they should do that. It's not like I do not want them to but I want them to do many things at once along with it and if they don't then maybe they should not end funding. Because ending the war in Iraq will influence many other things.

As with any country Iran's government is the problem.
I'm not supporting a war with Iran. We can avoid Iran, for now. We just have to get away from them. Get out of Iraq, leave the Gulf region, get out of Afghanistan. That is the best course of action if we want to avoid immediate conflict with Iran. Otherwise we are going to have to accept our current policy of Iranian terror against the U.S.. We apparently have accepted that it is worth the price we are paying.
If we were to war with Iran we would have to kill millions of people. I don't think that is worth it. I don't think we should do that simply because we are not able to have our way in all things. I would much rather evacuate the whole region because none of it is worth anything. It really is not. We can adjust our habits and we can do a crash program of alternative fuels. Kennedy made a commitment to go to the moon in the 1960's. We need that same leadership today that says we will be self sufficient within 5 years or a decade.
We have a failure of leadership in our country. Have had it. |
