Long before Sal was a contestant on "Win John's Job," things posted on SFN
were appearing on the Show.

Benji is the first culprit -- altho the story goes that some interns
were spending SFN quality time too. Benji was here all the time
(altho he didn't post) when he inherited Jackie's writing duties. --

Were you a Bubba fan before Sirius? I'm wondering the numbers of pre/post Sirius Bubba fans. If I was negotiating w/ Bubba on Sirius' behalf, I'd point out how disappointing an FCC-regulated Bubba show would be to those that have only heard him on satellite.

Yeah I have notice that for years as well !!

Example the word " Gunt" was brought up on this board for months to describe Robin... Then months later John started saying it on the air and somehow started taking credit for it.

It happens all the time. I just think for Sal a guy who is one of the biggest "copier" of SFN material around, to now act above everyone here who help the show as much as the people in the studio and in the office... it just sucks.

Sounds like Radio Gold to me and a Howard Stern thing....... He's going to string it out for the radio and to get the fans on edge and then either he'll pull it from the edge or let them fall over.

Think about it he even has me a non fan of Bubba talking about Bubba..... it's working.

No. Bubba was only in the Philadelphia market briefly, on Q102 when I was about 15 years old. I only heard of him because I heard Howard talk about him on 1.9.06. I am a loyal fan since then. I do not want a FCC regulated Bubba, but I know he can do it and be fing hilarious. I actually bought the big 25 cd (K5 Anthology) so I could get my hands on the older material (legally, I am fucking girlscout I can't steal from my friends) I honestly think the Morning Domination set that is part of that is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. That is the only old stuff of his I have heard save the bits and pieces they play once in awhile.

I just don't want a change. My mornings are Howard and Bubba on Friday, my evenings are Bubba. These two channels are fucking perfect. I listen to Ferrall once in awhile, more recently with both football and baseball going on.

I don't want nothing to change!!

It was funny to hear Richard and Sal defend their calls. I believe that some of the calls are real.

But there is no way anyone will every make be believe that "My turban is dirty" is a real call. Same with "I'll pay ya to meet ya" and the phone sex call with the Pat O'Brien tapes. Those are fake as hell.

I'm really disappointed in Mutt. I was the one who called in about Howard originally saying he would only be taking one 6-minute commercial break per hour. I was going to say that Howard said this a lot during his first year at Sirius, and in fact often took that 6-minute break every hour and a half. But this year it seems as though Howard's breaking more often for a commercial break, more like every 30 or 40 minutes. That's still better than terrestrial radio but that's not what Howard told his listeners he would be doing.

In keeping with the show's theme I was going to say that I suspect there's a conspiracy going on behind the scenes at Sirius to slowly but surely increase the amount of commercial breaks being taken on Howard's show. I was unable to do so because of Mutt's rather weak attempt at a joke. "Oh my call was cut off, there's whispering going on in the studio, must be a conspiracy!" Somewhat funny but I was hoping to get at least a minute's worth of discussion about this. If this is indeed what's happening and the powers that be at Sirius are looking to increase their revenue by adding more commercial time to Howard's show then Howard needs to be honest and upfront with his listeners and address this. But unfortunately Mutt had to make a joke out of it. Too bad.

I agree, there seems to more commercials but to Howard's defence he usually takes a first break around 7am or sometimes later. Mutt did seem to cut you off like it was a NO NO to go there! What happened to the guy that supposed to tell how the money broke down? It probably was a joke and not real on Mutt's part since it was a set-up at the end or you have another conspiracy maybe! The only people who really care if Ned is real or not are the bubba haters. The Fans of Bubba either believe he's real or they don't and they just enjoy the show. Not to add, they don't make a big deal out of it.

problem is, it's not a conspiracy. it's a fact. people complaining about facts does not equal conspiaracy. the conspiracy theories are things that can't be proven / disproven. things that we can't get solid data on.

more commercials is something that's easily measured & something that we've done several shows on already.

in the past year, the minutes of breaks has not changed. we have numerous thread at SFN tracking the number of breaks, the length of breaks, and the length of the show. i also spoke with tim & hunterlock and confirmed that our numebrs were right. there were not any more breaks or longer breaks. the only thing that changed was howard started taking his first break on time. the first one is now around 7a but it's not a new break. they just got moved around a little.

now if you are comparing it to 2 years ago when howard first came on air, yes there are more. they couldn't sell the ads then. they've slowly been getting up to speed.

anyway, it's not a conspiracy. it's just a fan bitch and an incorrect assumption. if the search worked, you'd be able to find all of our data & you could confirm this all yourself.

that's why your call was perfect one to fuck with. it wasn't something worth discussing anyway.

how do you suppose we proved any of these? what more could we possibly done. we talked about conspiracy's if we could prove that they were true or false, it wouldn't be a conspiracy. i let anyone call in with their info one either side. there was no control keeping us from the truth. which topic do you think Howard squashed? what interview do you think we were denied?

for example, howard's hair. please tell me what more we could have done to prove it's fake.

we spoke to his hair dresser who told us he has very little grey
we spoke to bob, an expert in fake hair who claims he saw howard in the hair for men book
we talked about the bussey video which everyone on the panel watched.
and then we made some conclusions

what did we leave out? should I have hid cameras in howard's private bathroom? I mean come on.

Ok, then disregard my comments about you dropping the ball and doing it half assed that you'll come across soon in your reading of the thread. Personally I would have led off with those two topics (or got into them right after the Ned conspiracy) but if you have a chance to expand on them and dig deeper before doing them then you are right to have skipped over them.

Though the one thing ya missed about the Ned thing is that in the 6-7 months I have been listening to Bubba almost daily now I don't think I've ever heard Ned there when Manson isn't there.

it's pretty widely known that the prank calls are edited to make them tighter & funnier. it's not a conspiracy. it's a fact. still, that doesn't make them fake. we talked about this last night. people are claiming the people on the other end are pre-planned setups. that's the conspiracy. no real way to prove or disprove it. the H100 news did interview some of the pranked people though & there was a howard tv special about how the guys do the pranks. don't know what more we'd be able to do.

they've asked fred several times. i'm sure you or I would get the exact same answer. won't really help prove or disprove.

the best that I have is back when stuttering john used to work there he was convince that fred wouldn't let positive john emails through. he had a friend send in a positive one to test him. howard read it on air. it wasn't enough to convince john but fred did pass the test. he was convinced someone had to have tipped fred off.

anyway, if john couldn't get to the bottom of it, I certainly won't be able to.
