No actually I did mean it.....I ran a business that alotted me so much free time I was out every night drinking and getting fucked up..I had to work maybe 2 days a week and subbed out most of my stuff....When I had a death in my family I networked and got a full time job so I thought less about the bad going on...It changed my life, it curbed my bad habits, and it made me feel a hell of alot better about myself......I think Boots having something positive and structured in his life like a full time schedule will be the best thing for him and which will create a normal pattern with the rest of his life |

I believe that you mean it. Just don't use it as a way to get another call through to the show though. ( Unless of course if they call YOU about it ) It comes off badly. |

Does Boots have any professional skills? Does anyone know what he did in the Army? Whatever that skill was, he should formalize it by getting some kind of professional certificate or something. That might help.

...yep...he won't accept the fact that he's not an employee of the Stern Show...
....he wants to work FOR the show...and Howard doesn't have a job for him...I tried calling in..then hung up when he went off on the cunt...I was going to ask Joey..what will he do once the show does go off the air...he's here 24/7 ....he said he never leaves his home..that's crazy....I was going to suggest maybe taking Friday and Saturday and just turning the show OFF....I have to..my Fiance' is ready to throw this computer AND my Sirius radios out of our house I'm on here so much..Joey..try to take a break from the show on weekends (they're just replays anyway)..get out...look for a job ..or take some courses (maybe creative writing) ...because the show can't go on forever...one day the show will end....then what??...I miss him on SFRT too...and I'm hoping he gets his life together... :fp: |

I know it's PC to call addiction a disease but it's just addiction. a guy who can't stop smoking doesn't have a disease. a fat chick who can't stop eating doesn't have a disease. a guy who drinks at work doesn't have a disease. it's addiction. calling it anything else is an excuse and a way of saying it's not the persons fault. if you get addicted to something, it's your fault. once you are addicted you may not be able to control yourself but it's still your fault for getting there. IMHO accepting that it's your fault for getting where you are seems like an important part of fixing things.
joey is addicted. he doesn't have an illness. he needs to break the addiction & stay clean. |
