| That's excatly why I think guys like Richard and Sal are disrespectful towards Artie and the stand-up comedy profession in general. They got to fast forward past years of struggle, open mics, bringers, getting stiffed by shitty club managers, and general frustration and got to skip right to being on show businesses' greatest radio show every day. They really should be a lot more humble and nowhere near as cunty as they've been acting. Bob is right to go nuts over this, just like Artie. It's the same bullshit from Richard and Sal and their cuntiness. |

I can totally see it. Those 2 sitting together in their office, having a pitty party and working each other into a shoot. Someone suggested they be seperated at work, and I got the feeling at the time that it might be a good idea.
Negativity festers, and they both seem to have some pretty major negativity issues on their own. |

Totally. In the last year or so I've hung around some comedians in different situations, it is amazing to see how they motherfuck each other behind each others back when one of them is not around. It pretty much made me decide not to pursue stand up, I don't think I can handle that kind of stuff.
I have a feeling that is part of the reason Artie has been so frustrated and depressed. He has to get the feeling that people are jealous of him, and talking shit about him. I think that might be why he got so mad at Sal, when Sal said he had to defend Artie to a lot of people who all said Artie sucked.
That could be why Artie is a bit stand offish and no one feels like he is open to a real friendship. Lots of phonies, he said he hated that from Sal. |

Yeah, but human nature is always to look at what other people have and want that, and think you deserve it. Sometimes getting a once in a life time opportunity really turns on people in a bad way.

I'm sure they do sell some tickets because Richard and Sal are going to be there, and it probably helped the KOC get its name recognized in the beginning... but it sounds like they got overly compensated for their help that way. I haven't heard a lot of positive things about Richards act. |
