COMEDIANS STANDING UP
- Richard says he's off the Killers of Comedy tour becasue there is a lot of infighting over money. Is it wrong for Richard to ask what he'll get paid if they do a second show? Does Richard have a point? Why should his pay on a door deal be effected by a prior show that he wasn't on did not make money? Since all the expense of doing a show would be figured into the first show, shouldn't the second show be all profit? Why does the advertising money come out of that?
- Shuli feels that Richard should be happy with the money they give him becasue it's a gift that was sat in his lap. meaning, he didn't work his way up in the ranks. Artie disagrees saying that Richard's got the name brand & promotional avenue and is instantly worth more. Is it right that Richard would get paid more than Shuli? Do Richard & Sal get more plugs?
- How would they do if the split up and did 2 separate showWho need who more? Do Bob & Shuli need Sal & Richard more or is it an equal partnership?
- Artie took a big shit on Sal & Richard's comedy. What's the difference between his set & theirs?
- Artie suggested the Sal & Richard do a stunt show. Would you rather see them gaying off on stage instead of doing their regular act? Why suggest stunts to them but give Levy shit for ass eating?
- Do people go to see the Killers of Comedy for the show or for the appearances?
- Artie has suggested to Levy that drop Beetlejuice & the other wackpackers. Does having them on the tour make it a bigger draw?

THE DOUBLE A ULTIMATUM
- Double A is pissed at the show becasue they aren't having him on as much anymore and he can't get on the spin off shows. He feels that the call screeners are purposely blocking him.

- With the new rock version of "When I see Beth Smiling" and the Shaw Blade version, could this become this years, "This is Beetle"?
- Do you really like the song? Is it something for the wedding or not?

GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

- Artie and Robin possibly dating? - Robin comes to Hoboken for drinks at Artie's apartment and then dinner downstairs. Then they head into NYC to see a play
- The Queef Off live in the studio - Debbie gave it her best but couldn't hold a candle to Abby's 96 queef's in 30 seconds
- Richard's comedy is not doing so well - Plans to give up comedy and just stick to the Howard Stern show
- Artie still mad at Sal - This argument isn't going away

Mutt, if it's ok with you, i'd like to briefly tell the stroy of my first meeting Richard at the Steven Perez comedy benefit at Gotham last year. i kinda drunkenly pawed him a bit, and we tussled slightly, and in the process he *tore the crotch wide open on my jeans*...i've always wondered why he drunkenly reached THERE for a grip.

Interesting that Sal was only willing to come into the studio because Artie wasn't there.
And THEN they could discuss the Artie v Sal dynamic.
Perhaps if Artie weighed less than Sal, then Howard wouldn't fear a physical assault occurring in the studio. |

Annoyed. The smallest things annoy him in the studio. People coming and going, sounds that only he can hear, people moving in the studio. It seems to take very little to get him off track. |

that is correct, she told me that she has been clean for a month now..i hope that it is true, but if she used oh well..that is what addicts do..they lie...they lie when the truth fits..who gives a shit if she is high..aint no skin off my nose..but as we know addicts like to spin stories about them being clean and when they stopped, if in fact they did stop. we get to watch one every single day..artie...even tho he claims to be clean many, many,many people spin stories of jis using..as long as she gets the help that she needs, its all good..wont be the 1st time an addict lied to me..it happens everyday with my job |

he gave us a nice plug before the party but it was not discussed at all after the fact
the following week I didn't even get to do the SFRT plug because the phones went down. that would have been the time to mention it |

It was awsome to get the background of these tapes and to truly appreciate how influential these tapes truly are.
They have inspired The Simpson's, Cpt. Janks, The Jerkey Boys, and Billy West as Red.
I wouldn't have even heard these calls if it wasn't for Howard. |

btw, the INtern Show last night broke the embargo and talked about the fight AND the behind the scenes details as the interns witnessed it. We can obviously talk about the peace since EVERYONE is discussing that on the Show and the WUS, so perhaps some aspects of the fight can be discussed? it's silly at this point to hammer down...but hey, maybe Artie will decide we're all peons so fuck us!
BTW, Howard sez he's moving to Florida as soon as he can,,,woujld he do The Show down there in 3 years, or is he only going there after he stops broadcasting? would Howard do the Show part of the year in NYC and part of the year in Miami? |

Hey Mutt
I went to the first show of the Shaw Baldes tour on Wed nite. It was in Petaluma, CA which is in Northern California. The show was in this really small intimate theater and was really great. About halfway through the show Shaw and Blades started talking about what a great time they had on the Stern show and how Gary asked them to rewrok a song for the show. After the intoduction they did a full length rendition of "When I see Beth Smile" with Tommy's improvised lyrics. It was really cool becaused about 3/4 of the audience had heard it in the show and were cheering. Shaw Blades even made a remark about whether or not they would be invited to play at Howard's wedding. Anyway I know you'll be talking about this on the round table so I hope this helps. |

Be sure to mention how Sal and Richard used JD as their spokesperson the day after "the fight" and sent him back and forth with inane pronouncements. It wasn't evident from listening to the show, but when watching it on Howard TV it was amusing to note that while they had JD running in to inform everyone of all the projects they were working on that prevented them from coming to the studio to comment in person, the cameras clearly showed them goofing off in their office.
And it's not just Artie who is having problems with Sal and Richard, Gary talked about constant pestering from S&R to get their bits on the show. |
