CONTRACT TIME
- Bubba said yesterday that Dec 21st will be the final wrap up to the whole show. We've heard about the negotiations for awhile now and though he couldn't elaborate, he implied that he's gotten a better offer and is moving on. Do you have hope that there will be a last minute reversal?
- Even Howard commented this week about how bad Bubba's negotiations were going. Is it possible that it's all a work?
- Bubba's talked about money & cooperate control issues. What seems like the big problem was that kept them from coming together?
- How badly will it effect the channels if Bubba really won't be back in Jan? In 3 years?
- Howard said he'd rather let H101 die if Bubba wasn't here. What do you think will happen to the channel?
- Once Bubba is out of here, who if anyone can they get to fill his shoes in the afternoon?
- Looks like Tim needs a new Friday morning plan. Is it time to bring back the Friday Show?
- It's been reported that Howard is considering resigning his contract. What's it gonna take to keep Artie?

- What the hell is up with Martling? He's finally back in the Stern world but then stabs Howard in the back by doing an interview with Hayden. What's next, will he have Cabbie on the show?
- Am I off base feeling this was a betrayal to Howard? Is it possible he didn't know there was a rift between the 2?
- Should Jackie be able to go to the paper for promotion even if it is with someone who goes against howard?

GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

Mutt is there any way we can get Ivy Supersonic on for a quickie interview this week? This story with her shacking up with Benjy is fascinating. A friend of mine actually happens to live in her apartment building, and its a luxury co-op in a very prime NYC neighborhood, and yet she's choosing to sleep in Benjy's ungodly lair? There are just so many questions left unanswered by this. I hope there's a chance she can do a quick phoner!

- Howard may renew his contract in 3 years but Bubba still hasn't resinged his contract that's up in a month. Bubba & Brent said on air that it 100% does not have to do with money. What could be the hold up?
- What can the Bubba Marks do to help?
- Were Howard's Tuesday comments about not wanting to be a boss and have to deal with contract negotiations just a coincidence or should we read between the lines?

up until now, Alision has been off topic. it's a whole divorce thing. would be kinda tough to do the history of howard stern though and leave out 21 years of marrage, the movie, and the divorce.

Howard. I would be willing to bet Bubba really wants a morning show to go up against Howard, or he wants the morning spot when Howard retires. |

My opinion only. There should be no talk about bubba on the round table. It's the Stern round table and there is enough to talk about. I don't know how many people cross over from Stern to Bubba but I hear from a lot of people that they don't like the bubba talk on the rt. |

RIP LONNY HECKMAN
We were all shocked and saddened to learn of Lonny Heckman's death today. I literally felt a sustained pain in my stomach when I found out. The man fulfilled his own dreams and we need to salute him. It's bittersweet because he was just reaching the pinnacle of his life when he passed.
It makes me happy that the world got to know what an amazing songwriter and musical mind this man was. Will/should Howard and Beth commit to honoring Lonny's memory by having "When I See Beth Smiling" played at their wedding? |

Howard and Letterman
Christmas means one thing to Scott Greenstein. No, it's not midnight mass followed by dressing up as Santa Claus for the kids. It means time to sell radios. Howard today talked about preserving his Letterman legacy of appearances by not being an obvious shill for Sirius during the Holiday consumer season. But, he's always great on Letterman even when he's just bantering with Dave, and it's always good to promote Sirius and get as many new listeners as possible. Is the History of Howard Stern special enough to carry a Letterman appearance? Should Howard even do it? |

| You really have to discuss the Bubba debacle at length. This could Seriously (no pun intended) effect the way 100/.101 operate throughout the next 3 years. They have dicked Bubba around for quite some time. If Bubba leaves, does Ferrall take over? (Speaking of which, whats going on with Scottie?). Is Sirius really that cheap that their gonna let go of 2 of their biggest draws? I don't know how they could let that happen. I find it funny how, at one point, Stern was talking about going with another channel (102) and now he may just have one. |
