This report didn't name every player who was using drugs. Nor did it claim to.
There's not going to be any $750,000 fine and loss of a player. |

Destroy, you sound ridicilous. I can not believe this is actually coming from you.
Find me any other team in 2000 that had even close to as many players that were found to be playing on juice/HGH.
I am not saying the Mets deserve the WS but your championship run is clearly tainted at the minimum.
You can say every team had cheaters, but no other playoff team had 2/4 starting pitchers cheating. As we know, nothing is more important in October then pitching. Half your pitchers were cheating. Not to mention guys like Knoblauch, Justice and the others.
Its tainted man, its tainted. Deep down, I think you agree. Maybe reluctantly but part of you must agree. |

No other team we know about... a team the Yankees beat that year in the playoffs could have had more... I'm not saying there definitely was, but how would we ever know? We won't. |

Fine, here is what we do KNOW...
In the 2000 World Series, between Clemens, Pettite, Neagle, and Stanton...
Those 4 guys combined for 29.2 IP and they were credited with 3 Wins in the 5 game World Series. It is a big deal yankee fans...sorry. |

It's true. I do hate the yankees and I'm getting a kick out of all of this. But I'm sure there were tons of other players on PEDs and the yankees clearly didn't own the market on cheating. They look the worst becuase Mitchell's group caught a dealer and a trainer from New York. But when you look at the numbers for that season and that World Series...it's pretty damning. I don't know how you can justify it as a yankee fan. |
|
|
| scotsalemfan |
They argue because the list is random, based on who would talk with them.
Canseco said he can't believe A-Rod is not on the list.
There are a lot of guys who were supplied by people who didn't give up their names.
Or weren't known to be suppliers by the commision. |

As I said in the other thread. If this report can not prove what they are claiming, many of these players are going to be even richer after they sue the shirts off of MLB!!
Time will tell. If they dont sue, it sorts of speaks for itself. |

not true. many of these guys don't have hundreds of millions of dollars to clear their names and live a comfortable life. why risk losing their modest fortunes on clearing their name? most of these guys aren't even considered for HOF, it's not worth it for Lenny Dykstra to clear his name. |

You do not need any money to clear your name. If you have a case, the lawyer will take the case for free and then just take a percentage of the verdict. Forget about the publicity the lawyer would get from the case.
If Larry Birkhead can get a free lawyer, any player in the Mitchell report can get a free lawyer. There is not enough $$ in the world to pay these lawyers for the publicity they will get. |

do you live in a dream world? you don't just get ANY lawyer for this to sue the MLB. this is not an opportunity to make money for those who are innocent, whites.
roger clemens is the first mention of players fighting it, b/c he can afford it. |

Dude, you do not need any lawyer. You will get a top notch lawyer. Just like Larry Birkhead had a top notch lawyer, for free. That was also a legal fight IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY. I think he can find 1000 GREAT laywers who would take the case for free.
Well to prove your case anyway, lets see if Roger sues. If he wins, then maybe you are right. If he does not sue or sue's and loses, then I guess you are wrong. |

why is the onus on the players, whites? this is america, innocent until PROVEN guilty.

I think we know come April, this will all die down and we will all be watching games. If people are not breaking records, this talk is going to die down big time once pitchers and catchers report. However, I think last year was a special circumstance because Bonds was breaking the record and nobody is more attached to steroids then him. |

First off, we all know many more playes did. I am sure more Yankees and more Mets. Secondly, if we are using the Mitchell report as gospel then it's easy to argue w/ wha the oher poster has written since only Clemens and Neagle were reported to have used during the 2000 season and Neagle was useless so just one of our important players used. We won 2 WS the previous 4 years w/o Clemens, we would have won in 2000 w/o him.
The only thing the Mitchell report tells us for sure is the Mets can't even win a Championship when they cheat. |

Thanks again dude. I really appreciate you backing me up and showing EVEYRBODY how clueless you are. I could not have asked for a better job. I do not even think my mother can make me look as good as you. For that, I say thanks!!
Here are the players from the 2000 season: (From a previos post, source:oneldef)
2B - Chuck Knoblauch *
OF - David Justice *
OF - Glenallen Hill *
DH - Jose Canseco *
---------------------
268 Hits, 47 HRs, 198 RBI (and Justice won the ALCS MVP)
SP - Andy Pettite *
SP - Roger Clemens *
SP - Denny Neagle *
RP - Jason Grimsley *
RP - Mike Stanton *
---------------------
212 Games Pitched, 664 Innings Pitched, 44 Wins, 499 Ks
I also love how you say the Mitchell report is not the bible. But then you say how Stanton never used juice beofre the 2003 season. Even though it is a known fact he asked about it years before. Isnt there a chance he was getting from somebody else? Oh yeah, of course not. The Mitchell report is the bible when you want it to speak favorably for you, it is bullshit when it rats out 9 players who played on a championship team.
Again, thanks. You make me look like a genius(like normal) :D |

Pettitte used HGH in 2002, the report says. Stanton, the report states, bought HGH from Radomski in 2003, when he was a member of the Mets. |

I think the Mitchell report is a joke only exposing 80 or do players BUT you anti-yankee guys believe it's the ruth b/c somehow you believe it taints our Championships. using the Mitchell report it only shows 1 key guy using at the time we were winning and that guy, Clemens, stunk in '99 so only 2000 was affected and we won w/o Roger in '96 an '98 I'm sure we would have won w/o him in '99 and '00. |
