after bamboozlefest in marco island they said lasker would never be allowed back on the show. I think he no showed or something, (someone here will be able to tell what happened) but Bubba has nothing to do with the man any longer.
I believe thats also why they change all of the bumper promos as well to the announcer guy they have now. |

Lasker was a no show for bamboozlefest.. afterwards he claimed that bubba wanted him to do a very racist bit for the bamboozlefest show.. he refused.. claiming he was better then that.. etc..
and now we are better off not having lasker around.. |

From a fans point of view, there was never a dull moment when Lasker was around.
They should bring him back in small doses.
Lasker on Salvia with Bubba playing all those short sound bits( "fuck me", "anal" etc) was hilarious. |

I'm a huge sprint car mark, so I'd heard of Gene long before hearing him on the show. Man, I loved listening to him on air....he was probably my fave outside of the daily on air staff.
I hope that he does come back eventually, but it doesn't sound like he will. Even if he doesn't make it back to the show, I hope that him and Bubba can make amends on a personal level. Even if bubba truly feels he is a cunt, it was obvious that Bubba means a lot to Gene.....even if he is too thick headed to show it in a reasonable way.

As for D-ball....... I normally get a vibe on who is a good person, and he doesn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling. Shady comes to mind........
Conversely, I think Gene is a good guy at heart who has been through a ton in his life. That doesn't give him a license to shit on everyone else through life, but I don't think he means to be like that. Gene's just Gene. Then again, I do not know him on a personal level, it's just the feeling I get listening to him. That bit on bubba raw speaking of growing up is pretty heart wrenching, not to mention his loss earlier this year. I'd gladly trade some IQ points to be as strong as he has been in his life. |
