Tampa, Florida – Four months after a crash that left him with serious brain injuries, 22-year-old John Graziano is now semiconscious and has opened his eyes, his mother confirmed to Tampa Bay’s 10 News on Friday.

Graziano was left comatose after a crash in Clearwater on August 26. He was a passenger in a yellow Toyota Supra driven by Hulk Hogan’s son Nick Bollea, police reports show.

Graziano’s mother Debra said the impact broke the base of her son’s skull.

He still can’t breathe without a machine and can’t speak, but recently, he has shown some signs of improvement.

Graziano leaned away from his mother as she tried to touch his face recently, she said.

After the crash, Graziano was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. He was later moved to the James A. Haley V.A. Medical Center in Tampa.

Debra confirmed this information to Tampa Bay’s 10 News via email. She signed off with Romans 8:28.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

It sounds like he has enough mental capacity to know his mom might be babying him. That or he is pissed at what he has been hearing while in a coma
